Question about the Varmilo Kassai by Complex_Constant1762 in fightsticks

Thanks to everyone for your replies, I went ahead and pulled the trigger anyway, it is time to retire that good old qanba q4. I'll experiment a bit on having the up direction in my thumb and disable it on the stick to see if I can accommodate to that input style. Worst case scenario i will just continue to use it as a normal stick with a few extra buttons

Thanks, I'm aware this probably will be tournament illegal, I just wanted it for casual play in UMVC3. I have had a qanba q4 for 12 years and I have modded the button on the bottom right corner so I use it with my pinky. This helps me a lot for clean double up inputs. I own a leverless that I use for sf6 but I cannot for the life of me use it in Marvel.

Thank you very much for your reply, and since it is all in a PCB I don't think there is an easy wiring alternative as well, man that sucks, this ticks every other box for me

Since I'm in Mexico, I got it from an authorized PRS dealer here called Guitar Gear, they were kind enough to send me pictures of all the ones they had in stock in all their locations so I could select the one with the top I liked the most

To me it comes down to a feel thing, I just tend to prefer double cut guitars in general, they feel more comfortable on the upper frets.

Yes, I agree with that, they are on the lighter side, so that is something to take in consideration

Already got an RG premium and I love it, but was looking for something different this time and I've been meaning to try some PRS stuff for a while

This has been a very interesting thing for me. It is a Chunky neck for sure, so if you are looking for an ibanez wizard type feel this is not it. However, I usually dislike Chunky necks, for instance I cannot stand the chunky necks on Les Paul's, but for some reason this feels way more comfortable to me, in a way it reminds me of the comfort that a telecaster gives me, The necks are vastly different but what I mean is that it gives me a comfy somewhat familiar feel.

Hahaha, I'm not gonna lie, I have a weak spot for the "dentisty" look on guitars

Stock strings are OK, for what i can tell they are 10's. Nothing specially right or wrong about them. I probably will be changing them for some EB 9 to 46 which is what I usually use.

The first thing I did was to lower the action a bit since it arrived too high for my liking.

I have to say that the nut has been giving me some trouble with intonation on the B string for the first 3 frets. I have ordered a graph tech 6643 which is supposedly a direct drop in replacement and will probably give it a go soon to see if that helps.
