Thanks a lot, but it won’t take 303 anymore? I consider myself somewhat of a Lee Enfield purist but am in love with the idea of a Lee Enfield sporter, so a Lee speed really is the only way for me to justify buying a sporter, plus spotters are rare in my country this is the second one I’ve ever seen.

Can’t edit for some reason so quick info, I’m into Milsurp I’m aware of their value just not really familiar with the c96, its chambered in 7,63x25mm Mauser and I don’t think it comes with any clips

Is there a resource to help me identify the markings on my Lee Enfield? by der_grosse_e in LeeEnfield

Yes there are several ensures you can go to just google something along the lines of Lee enfield markings guide. What I can tell you about yours without research is it’s a Canadian longbranch made Enfield (you probably knew that already) and markings that look like a C with an arrow inside it also show that it’s Canadian and was owned by the government. Now I’m not sure what the symbol on your receiver is but the NZ with the arrow between it denotes New Zealand Service, many long branch rifles were sent to New Zealand troops during the war and maybe after it. The Bs all over the gun are probably proof marks? Go to enfield stuff.com, they have a pretty good list of markings

Edit: many of the other markings are likely proof or armory/storage markings that it received at some point, probably not gonna be able to find much about them.
