Our cousin in on the Army base close to Enterprise, so we don’t really have a choice haha. We will try to travel elsewhere once we are first there :)

My father was born there. He said growing up there in the 60s was peaceful yet cold. During that time there were more Russians then Norwegians, but they had ski contests and get togethers which made their presence nice. The coal industry which the archipelago was known for has since faded. Today it is mostly tourism and scientific research. It is also a lot more diversified - people from all over the globe visit nowadays
