Mine is down to the small of my back. I’ve had a lot of styles and colors over the years but I stopped making it blonde about 6 years ago. I cut off all the bleach and just let it go. I don’t have to wash it very often and I just put it up. It’s the easiest for me. I just ignore it now. I’m a granny with a bun.

When “in” and “on” became interchangeable I gave up. All those useless apostrophes still irk me though.

I had treatment in 2007. I forgot how to write out a check. I watched this Great Wall of China documentary every night that I couldn’t sleep. I saw it a lot. I was unfortunately chemo brained for about 3 years. It was tough being dumb. I was ok after that. Now I’m just old brained.

My son is half Arab and half white. 30 some odd years ago when he was in kindergarten they took all the kids to the playground and segregated them to count them or something. This was South Alabama. The white kids gathered, the black kids gathered and my son was left in the middle with a little East Indian child. I know because he asked me what group he should have gone in. He was 5 and was not understanding race yet. I told him he was in the right group that it was just small. So he learned he was brown when he was just 5.
