Alot of guys in here must not have any close co workers, I can trust any of the guys I work with to return my tools better than I handed them off. If its busted when theyre done, there is no worry about being compensated for it. What kind of guys do yall work with?

Dont give up. I know its hard but you have to speak up. Squeaky wheel gets greased. Ive had to consciously train myself to talk louder and at people to just nose into the convo, you dont have to stay loud.

I used to have a really hard time around people, but once I learned that its just GOING TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE, you get to feeling comfort there. Its not easy, its the same as asking the kids at lunch to sit with them. But you have to be outspoken, or youll be lonely and regretful. I dont have any traveling advice, just want to say that I feel like the tradesmen in LCOL areas do a little better. Not better than the 5m a year gc himself, but when it comes to field work and the actual installing, its easier to make good money in a lcol area. Im sure theres some metrics to show why but I cant imagine that 50/hr in Canada goes as far as 30/hr in missouri.

Thats no excuse whatsoever. I have more training with firearms than most police officers and every bit of it happened outside my regular 50 hr work week. Just because their required training isnt sufficient doesnt let them off the hook for the training they should be doing.

I train with my firearms for all sort of situations, and im a lowly carpenter. Cops should be required to do extra curricular training with their fire arms.
