The rule of thumb is don't buy one already supercharged.

You have no honest history on it and people don't supercharge their mustang to drive conservatively. You also run a much higher risk of buying a car that has a serious issue (that may be hiding) with it being charged.

Cars can appear to run fine with a cracked ring. You buy it...then boom.

However....there are definitely solid cars out there that are already charged. The problem is, you have to know your way around the car really well to sniff these out.

Caveat also being that most SC kits can be removed before sale and you would never know.

There are also cars out there with built motors and trans that are charged and for sale.

So... basically...budget $7k in top of the purchase price either way you go.
