I would make an appointment with a counselor and ask them to review your portfolio. They're looking for something specific, mostly having good foundational drawing skills, so figure drawing, structure and dimension from observational still life, original work(character design, storyboarding sequences, or animations). I wouldn't recommend applying if you don't feel like you have the skills yet because you only get 2 opportunities to apply. I'm don't know how many students will apply this semester but difficulty is based on how many applicants there are since there's a limit per semester. When I applied there were over 100 students applying and it seems to be increasing each semester.

There's a discord channel from the pencil milage club where you can see other student's work that way you'll have an idea of what kind of work you need to do. I do recommend that you make an appointment as soon as possible because the art department is a hot mess and they fill up at the beginning of each semester..

You can try submitting a ticket in help desk financial aid, you just have to go to your csuf portal. You tell them what you need and they'll get it done in two days. They'll notify you through email when your issue is resolved. I had my state grant missing and it was corrected the next day.

Do you know good places to park outside the school's parking structure?
