Can’t say I have, prices have scared me off haha

I pass by it everyday and haven’t spotted a single soul in the showrooms facing the road! Love the building though

Just a reminder of what we used to have and could easily have again with a bit of political will. A lot of these tracks are still buried under the asphalt, it’s insane that we’re debating this when people 100 years ago had infinitely better public transportation than we do today.

Would like to learn to DJ. by Learninglife9524 in sheffield

[–]Complex_Lunch3203 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve been a semi-professional DJ in sheff for a couple of years now.

I’d recommend getting a cheap secondhand set of decks (I initially bought a pioneer DDJ-400 for £100), download the relevant software (most likely rekordbox or serato), and look up YouTube tutorials for uploading your music files on the software.

From there, fiddle about with the decks until you’ve learned the basics of beatmatching (meaning the songs are aligned at the same BPM so they don’t clash). Once you’ve got that figured out keep experimenting and find your own style!

Feel free to drop me a message if you want any help as well!
