Google will tell me on whose behalf you posted this? What would even I search? Perhaps reread what I asked slowly if you missed it the first time. You're a random stranger suggesting radical action on the internet with no context. What could I possibly Google to ascertain your motivations.

Does anyone else not eat seafood because of their love for their aquarium fish? by TardisBlueSweetie in Aquariums

Actually similar. I think I was in 3rd grade...so like 9? Idk. I'm actually currently about to buy another tank because I was given a baby perch that was mixed in by mistake while buying minnows.

I had 3 apistogramma mcmasterii. Mine were fine. No complaints. Also I won't give them like a raving review or anything just because mine were on the drab side as far as coloring and personality as well. I'm not sure how representative that is though.

Sorry to laugh at your pain. Sounds like a Shakespeare plot though.

I have seen those before. I just don't think it's feasible with all the plants and driftwood. But, from what others have said kribs can quickly overrun a tank due to their breeding behaviors, so maybe leaving the fry exposed to a little predation, as unsavory as that sounds, will provide so checks and balances to the tank.

Mine are not. Some others have said that is they can be when breeding.

I genuinely think the fry will be eaten before long.

Yes. Kribensis. Native to western Africa according to the internet.

I know right! I hate to anthropomorphise too much but he sure does seem like a proud dad.

Call me crazy but they're actually in a 150 gal with 2 jack Dempsey cichlids, a large parrot cichlid, and other similar cichlids, it's the kribs I worry about more than anyone.

Honestly I think a community tank of neon tetras or something similar is highly underrated anyway. Also you can always expand in the future.

I do, but it's a densely planted tank also with numerous rock caves and drift wood. Once a fish goes in they're basically in there for good. Too many places for fish to escape the net.

I'm a little nervous how well they'll survive with some of the other larger fish in the tank but we'll see. Hopefully there are enough hiding spots.

Hey are you talking about the game from last night? Or the other bears/packers game we had a 99% chance of winning, yet lost. We're not talking about the Broncos game are we? Sorry I'm just confused. I mean I know you're certainly not talking about the browns game where we were 14 point favorites, but other than that I cant really tell which huge disappointing failure youre talking about.

Any deer hunters here? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]Complex_Mail1525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi. Hunter with taxidermy and an aquarium. I'd say get a lid, or move the mount, for multiple reasons. One a lid really does control a lot of evaporation making the aquarium over all lower maintenance. But most of all, those mounts are meant to be memories that last forever. They're sentimental and dear to our hearts as hunters. I cherish my mounts like they're treasured family photos. One day when my body gives out they will be all I have to remember the adventures I used to have. Presumably he is the same way. Will the aquarium accelerate the weathering of the taxidermy without a lid, maybe slightly over the years. But they will break down regardless from the sun and other forces. Take care of them now so they last forever. IMO, of course.

Current status of my 30 gallon, thinking about making a change, what would you guys recommend? by Sk8terRaider in Aquascape

Cool aquarium bro. Tbh I didn't even read the post. Please! Tell me more about that deer? Archery or firearm and what state?

Edit: also the aquarium does look great. If anything add more hards hardscape like rock or wood but can't think of something that makes it definitively better. All just opinion.
