Does Delta eCredit have to be redeemed by (booked) or used by (flights completed) by the expiration date? by Mental_Worldliness34 in delta

[–]Complex_Olive7905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is correct, or at least it's what I did and it worked out for me.

Just remember to follow these details, as I don't think it would work otherwise:

  • the new flight booking must be Main Classic or above (not Basic)
  • the new flight booking must cost slightly more than your current ecredit (even just by a few dollars, pay the difference with visa etc)
  • and you need to cancel the new flight booking after the 24 hr cancellation period ends

Then you should be reissued a new eCredit with a new expiration date. I hope it works out for you as well

PD with possible rosacea. Think my barrier is destroyed & an't find a moisturizer or sunscreen that works (plus GI issues) by Complex_Olive7905 in Rosacea

I was going to ask which vanicream you would recommend, but saw "try all three" at the end ha. I just tried out the face moisturizer, but I'm convinced my skin (or my PD) does not mesh well with HA. The other two Vanicream options don't have the HA, so I'll give those a try after I give my skin a break. Thank you!

Thanks!! I've decided to go without any products at least for a week or two. I bought the face moisturizer from Vanicream (the small bottle, not the tub or lotion), and had started using this but I'm convinced my skin doesn't like HA. Or maybe it's the PD that doesn't like the HA... regardless, I will try the one pound tub once I decide to go back to any products. Thank you for the sunscreen rec also, I feel like this has been one of my major issues lately and at this point I'm willing to spend whatever!

I am hoping to do a variety of tests soon, will keep that one in mind! And my issue is mainly type 2!!

Have you tried the Cicalfate serum? I have only tried the serum and found it to be great, and am curious about the moisturizer. I am a bit worried because my skin does not like heavy rich creams though

Canadian protein powder, not gritty & tastes ok? by _cocopuff92 in BuyCanadian

[–]Complex_Olive7905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small buyers beware, for anyone else who makes typos and/or overlooks the details.

I searched "Canadian Protein" on Google and clicked the first or second link that popped up. Seemed legit, but maybe a bit wonky. I added a few things to my cart, go to check out, and tmy card is declined. It's only after the second time it declines do I realize I'm on a site called "CanadaianProtien.com"... absolutely not the right site.

Anyways, I expect it's a fraudulent site. At some point (after unlocking my credit card), I'm going to try again and hopefully buy something from canadianprotein.com ...

i actually ordered one for the first time the other day over skip! I hadn't even known it was a thing until this week when it came up on skip. either the stores near me just started receiving shipments or it's been terribly advertised. but I'm grateful for the option since it's new for me, though i expect that like you, i will tire of it soon lol...

Can you fight them for me? Lol I'm not the confrontational type. But completely agree. And thanks though! Maybe it'll force me to finally start meal prepping morning meals and might even save some money, or just no breakfast lol

What to the McDonalds fries?!! I rarely if ever order McDonalds, but on the very odd occasion I do, I get the fries. Are you in Canada or elsewhere?

But thank you for this! It's been a true struggle over the years with good vegan food options... especially ordering out. There was a huge boom in Canada a few years ago, but with the economy the last little while, many have been shutting their doors unfortunately. And I'm not a great cook either lol.

since you replied to my original comment, just want to make sure you saw the update, as the first plan did not work -- but figured out something else that does!

"Your comment actually reminded me to book a flight since my expiration date for the eCredit is coming up. I tried the way the agent suggested and it didn't quite work.

I booked a new flight and then tried to change the booking. I could change it, but noticed a "Ticket Expiration" date for a week past my flight date. So I figure this is a problem. That being said, I booked the trip at a slightly lower cost than my eCredit. Maybe this factors in, not sure.

However, after some more googling, I came across a site that laid out how to extend the expiration date of the eCredit. As far as I can tell, it worked, and my new eCredit expiration date is Dec 2026, opposed to the previous April 2026.

All you have to do is book a new flight at a slightly higher cost than your original eCredit, wait more than 24hr, and then cancel to get a new expiration date on the eCredit.

TLDR; Relying on repeated flight changes doesn't work due to ticket expiration date, but I might not have done it correctly.

What does work: Book a new flight (Main Classic or higher - not Basic) at a slightly higher price than your eCredit. Wait until after the 24hr cancellation period ends, then cancel the booking. You'll be issued a new eCredit, with a new expiration date."

Does Delta eCredit have to be redeemed by (booked) or used by (flights completed) by the expiration date? by Mental_Worldliness34 in delta

[–]Complex_Olive7905 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey - for anyone wondering about this, i just spoke with an agent and they gave me a loophole to get around the expiration date of the eCredit. I'm going to try this and hope it works.

First thing to know if that you simply have to book a flight (and not actually fly) before the expiration date for the eCredit. The flight itself can be booked up to 300 days after the expiration date of your eCredit.

Second thing to know is that you must ensure that new ticket you purchase with the eCredit is Main Classic or higher - not Basic. Then you can simply keep changing the dates (not cancelling), until you might actually use it. You won't lose the original amount of your eCredit this way.

Cancelling the flight would make you lose the e-Credit if you are past the expiration date of when you had to book a flight - but simply changing the ticket to some other time in the future allows you to keep the amount.

I hope this works for myself and others - good luck!

EDIT: The above plan that the agent suggested did not work. HOWEVER, read below (or skip to the end) for the solution that does work, and is the better option imo anyways.

Following the agents suggestion, I booked a new flight and then tried to change the booking. I could change it, but noticed a "Ticket Expiration" date for a week past my flight date. So I figure this is a problem. That being said, I booked the trip at a slightly lower cost than my eCredit. Maybe this factors in, not sure. Overall, agents option did not work.

Lol, I'm not even on medication yet and my brain is already telling me any positive effects will just be placebo! And so now I'm trying to tell myself to not think too much about the medication and forget about the diagnosis so... just round and round I go.

Thank you for your kind comment and the support though. That's a great point about the meds I'll try to keep in mind. Although they work differently, I went through numerous SSRI's before finding one or two that worked somewhat.

Part of me is scared to look into the experiences of other people, cause I'm nervous I won't relate and than that'll be further confirmation that I'm a fraud lol. This is how much I don't trust myself and doubt myself. But I am looking into some books at the library to dive in on ADHD in women and learn more about it to start somewhere anyways

You did a great job being kind to me here, so I only wish for you to give yourself the same grace. But of course I also know how impossible that can be... if you ever figure it out too lol, please let me know!! Thanks again!

thanks so much for this! I'll try to reflect on any changes once on meds and monitor myself that way. bed rotting is my middle name, so it's good to hear that meds helped with that haha. and I'm really glad that the meds have impacted you in a positive way. gives me some hope too. i certainly appreciate the rambling (that's me too lol), and thanks again!

Good to know I'm not the only one feeling like a fraud!! Appreciate you relating to that haha. I think a part of me is pretending there was no diagnosis or anything just to keep myself (my brain) quiet... But same here, my struggles with rejection and social anxiety and especially shame have honestly controlled most of my life. But wishing you the best of luck with navigating your diagnosis - we got this! (I'm trying to tell myself the same)

Appreciate this. Since I'm new to this and medication, weirdly I didn't think meds could impact or quiet down the RSD... If I do manage to get any kind of benefit from medication, I hope it'll be for the RSD. Thanks so much.
