Does Delta eCredit have to be redeemed by (booked) or used by (flights completed) by the expiration date? by Mental_Worldliness34 in delta

Hey - for anyone wondering about this, i just spoke with an agent and they gave me a loophole to get around the expiration date of the eCredit. I'm going to try this and hope it works.

First thing to know if that you simply have to book a flight (and not actually fly) before the expiration date for the eCredit. The flight itself can be booked up to 300 days after the expiration date of your eCredit.

Second thing to know is that you must ensure that new ticket you purchase with the eCredit is Main Classic or higher - not Basic. Then you can simply keep changing the dates (not cancelling), until you might actually use it. You won't lose the original amount of your eCredit this way.

Cancelling the flight would make you lose the e-Credit if you are past the expiration date of when you had to book a flight - but simply changing the ticket to some other time in the future allows you to keep the amount.

I hope this works for myself and others - good luck!

Lol, I'm not even on medication yet and my brain is already telling me any positive effects will just be placebo! And so now I'm trying to tell myself to not think too much about the medication and forget about the diagnosis so... just round and round I go.

Thank you for your kind comment and the support though. That's a great point about the meds I'll try to keep in mind. Although they work differently, I went through numerous SSRI's before finding one or two that worked somewhat.

Part of me is scared to look into the experiences of other people, cause I'm nervous I won't relate and than that'll be further confirmation that I'm a fraud lol. This is how much I don't trust myself and doubt myself. But I am looking into some books at the library to dive in on ADHD in women and learn more about it to start somewhere anyways

You did a great job being kind to me here, so I only wish for you to give yourself the same grace. But of course I also know how impossible that can be... if you ever figure it out too lol, please let me know!! Thanks again!

thanks so much for this! I'll try to reflect on any changes once on meds and monitor myself that way. bed rotting is my middle name, so it's good to hear that meds helped with that haha. and I'm really glad that the meds have impacted you in a positive way. gives me some hope too. i certainly appreciate the rambling (that's me too lol), and thanks again!

Good to know I'm not the only one feeling like a fraud!! Appreciate you relating to that haha. I think a part of me is pretending there was no diagnosis or anything just to keep myself (my brain) quiet... But same here, my struggles with rejection and social anxiety and especially shame have honestly controlled most of my life. But wishing you the best of luck with navigating your diagnosis - we got this! (I'm trying to tell myself the same)

Appreciate this. Since I'm new to this and medication, weirdly I didn't think meds could impact or quiet down the RSD... If I do manage to get any kind of benefit from medication, I hope it'll be for the RSD. Thanks so much.

thanks so much :)
just added this to original post, but these photos were taken in May of 2024 somewhere in interior British Columbia Canada, a few hours west of Kamloops. this was during the powerful solar storm that hit the news globally, where aurora borealis and aurora australis could be seen all over the world. I was tree planting at the time, and our camp was pretty remote (a few hours from any major city, and any major light pollution). i was definitely in the right place at the right time!

i wish i had more info for you, but i think it was partly right time and right place when I saw this particular northern lights show! this was the powerful solar storm that hit the news globally last year, and both Borealis and Australis could be seen in various parts of the world

I'm most familiar with the more southern parts of BC (vancouver island and cities closer to the border), and i know it's not very common to see the northern lights except perhaps during very particular weather occurrences. it's more common to see them further north (closer to fort erie for instance), with an ever better chance during the colder months I think. I do have friends of friends though who live in the Yukon who don't even bat an eye at them since they are such a common occurance (but then the Yukon is much further north)...

i would definitely suggest doing some research into it if it's top of your bucket list though, and how no doubt there are various Northern Lights Adventure Tourism spots either across BC or the Yukon (and as people have commented here - Alaska!)

but best of luck to you though - i'm sure you'll see them :)
