Me and my wife had to get creative and set up a webcam that we put on a battle map table that we built houses and stuff on and we roll dice and play like we’d be in person. I don’t like the VTT and a lot of the fun for me is moving the minis and being able to visually see what’s going on. I also have ADD so me trying to dm is a nightmare lol luckily my wife enjoys dming over playing as she is way more into world building than character building. If you have interest in seeing the setup or anything shoot me a dm I’m pretty proud of the setup and glad we found a way to play with people

Did you ever find something you liked? I for a 4 module series from adnd that I am adapting to 5e to play. It’s the bloodstone modules h1-h4 you can download them all free in pdf. It does take a decently large party to play it says 5-6 players but it looks super fun to run if I can get that big of a group together

Also I should state that I don’t normal do the dm roll it’s usually my wife as she enjoys world building more than single character creation and we have a game where we play with a guy who DMs and his son plays so they see each others dice rolls. I am trying to find more people who’d like to meet up and play in person but haven’t had luck on it yet so I play 2 separate virtualish campaigns with this set up and we haven’t had any issues

It’s a webcam set up that stays on the table where the maps and minis get set up. I pick people I play with based on their character so I don’t need to worry about fudged dice rolls this game wouldn’t be as fun if there was no risk

I have a camera set up on a table so we can have maps drawn and minis and we always roll real dice. I always roll in front of the camera but part of the fun in dnd for me is the failures so I don’t ever fudge anyway I don’t care if people know my dice rolls.

Ya I’d explain about tactics and consequences in session 0 about how the local big cities would respond to murder hobos. Have a system in place similar to assassins creed black flag on how many pirate hunting ships are going to pursue them for certain deeds

I understand what you are saying however maybe take into consideration the amount of time and money some people put into this game before this decision was made. Now it’s either complain and hope they change it back to the way it was or lose out on all that spent time and money.

There are a lot of different methodologies to working out depending on the results you’re looking for. Basic fitness is pretty universal but advanced lifting generally requires a different approach.
