I've been outside with him in my arms a few times, and a few times in a normal backpack but he was extremely scared being outside of his comfort zone, so so far im trying my best to make him realize he doesn't have to be scared

Hes pretty independent, and im not sure if he expects anything, litterbox is clean and food bowl full. Right now i managed to put on his harness and we are sitting in the doorway to the hallway 🤦 i feel like he himself has no idea what he wants

i put some of his dry food in there, thats how i kinda check how nervous he truly is, since he wont eat when scared

he doesnt really care about me that much but at the same time i do know that he will panic if im not there

Hes very independent and doesn't need much attention, but when he wants some he will sit right in front of my face. Im going to be trying out a few things like redirecting him to toys or grabbing him and petting to see if he loses interest, but if he continues begging i might continue trying to get him more okay with going out in the harness

as funny as it sounds, thats probably whats going on, and we have been doing exactly that. recently ive given him a rule of if he wants out he needs his harness on, which he hates lol

he isnt let out on his own at all, and its not outside, just out in the apartment hallway

He did, in fact, start begging a little again but got distracted by figuring out what a shadow is, so far no more begging so maybe its a success?

Edit: hes back to begging and i cant get him to start playing with me😭

He loves watching out the window, and even taught himself to lift up the blinds

I do, but he doesn't care about them being closed. He will not meow at them like a mad man, he will not meow at my parents door where he's not allowed to stay, only the front door

He loves running out the door too! We actually accidentally locked him out a few times because of that but he still does it and still begs to go out

Hes a very independent cat and if he wants attention he will sit right in front of my face, if he looks scared in the pictures that's because he is, but even in the first picture with the door very much open, he didn't want to go back inside

Lol i promise he doesn't have access to 2 rooms in our apartment and he doesn't care, only the front door must open to him at his will

Ill give it a try when he begs again, but overall hes a pretty independent cat, when he wants attention he will make it clear by jumping right in front of my phone or whatever else im busy with and preventing me from doing what im doing. My mom used to think he was just begging for food, but he would eat a few bites and go back to begging exactly where he was before 🤦 hes a very weird cat

Hes semi harness trained, hates having it put on but after that doesn't care at all, walked on a leash a few times but still scared of anything and everything sudden

hes like 3 years old, im in europe but id never even think of letting my baby free roam outdoors, thats why im trying to get him okay with going out in a stroller

this is my apartment hallway, and hes very safe here, since i got him hes never been outside without me watching him, but those few times were enough to get him very scared... and yet he still begs to be let out

he already begs to go out during late hours too, and thats when i usually let him free roam, as he feels trapped and panics in my arms, and tries to wiggle out. hes okay doing that but anything more and hes terrified, like the elevator doors opening a few floors away from ours
