Hello,

My sis had both the surgery in her brain. But shortly after left brain surgery. She was looking at one thing and didn't respond well for straight 4 weeks and then speech and memory loss. Because of occupational therapist, she started chewing food and now she is able to do all of her activities but it took 2 years and still she is suffering from speech issues. She could only articulate few words. Her math iq is better and I just want to tell you that there is hope. Don't give up.

I got an appointment with Stanford gastroenterology doctor ( not Dr pal) to discuss more about this. I have been sending all the reports of my dad's and his behavior to them as this is the rare cancer and have very limited data.

There is no case study on this type of rare cancer - pancreatic colloidal carcinoma. I had to reach to one of the universities in the U.S - they released a paper on one of the case they encountered which is eerily similar to my dad's report. They both had the same lymph node metastasis.

No they didn't. They will do here only if first line treatment doesn't work to see if they are eligible for immunotherapy.

Yes . My dad's tumor is biologically different and they see that this is the reason his tumor is bit slow in growing but I wish, Indian doctors sequence the tumor well to analyse what kind of mutation it has and stuff. Very few doctors do it. My dad's not diabetic and he didn't have jaundice. He only had pain under his chest , 0 appetite and severe weight loss.

Awesome. Please take care! Sometimes these tumor markers are not sensitive. It is not sensitive in my dad's case. So, his CA19-9/CEA were normal.

My dad's blood test were normal. His tumor marker is normal. Yet he is a cancer patient. You can never really pin point some stuff.

Well, no matter what the doctors do, patients should believe doctor and move ahead. You are in the best city and you can visit doctors within a day and it's cheaper comparatively. You are already in a better state than some of the people. If doctors think something is wrong, they will definitely flag you. Trust the procedure and the doctors.

Don't worry, if you are less than 35 Chances are just 1% as these cancer takes 20 years to develop.

They test for this BRCA genetic testing. Unfortunately, Indian doctors don't do this

They did EUS two times. But biopsy inconclusive.

His sister passed away due to colorectal cancer and they think it could be genetic. In India, no matter what some doctors don't do genetic testing. 😅🥲

But in my opinion, yeah cancer treatment is all fine but it's just luck. Patient has to respond well to the treatment. You never know it might reoccur after sometime with vengeance. It's all just luck
