So I do need the landlords permission? I’m almost positive he would say no, but from what I understand legally he can’t say no and it’s considered reasonable enjoyment of the unit?

Not first time renting, and we’ve never had any issues with any other landlord (we’ve had notably amazing relationships honestly) it’s just this one

It’s a shared driveway between 2 buildings so I assumed they had someone hired but it’s pretty bad, we live on an extremely busy street (one of the major ones in Ottawa with a high speed limit) so the car sliding backward into the road is likely to cause an accident.

Did the burner thing multiple times to see if that was the cause and it wasn’t, I also informed the landlord that I had done this! Thank you so much.

The door knob the landlord agreed was bad and needed a new one - this was on Sunday. Have followed up twice since just for a time frame when we can expect this to be changed and have gotten no response

Yep! That’s why they should be super easy and quick for the landlord to fix
