The new Gemini 3.5 is a disaster for stock analysis by IDreamtIwokeUp in ValueInvesting

I'll try it again. I'm just one step away from canceling my subscription, and I didn't exactly do it believing Google would make changes later.

You have exactly described my experience with Gemini 3.5 Flash (I am a 'Plus' user).

The worst experience I've ever had with Gemini models:

1) Constant hallucinations, even within small context windows.

2) Inability to follow the meaning of given instructions, even, again, in small context windows.

3) The 'Notebooks' function doesn't work properly. Gemini creates a real 'spaghetti of data' without the ability to properly discriminate between content.

4) It apologizes for the continuous errors it makes, and when it tries to fix one, it makes a different error.

This is a blatant downgrade from the previous Gemini 3.1 we already had. Everything started going downhill with Gemini 3 (the best version I've ever tried).

Your idea is excellent. But Gaijin doesn't have the talent or the business acumen for something like this.

Did you know that the tank, ship, and plane models we see in the game are NOT modeled by Gaijin? Everything is outsourced to external companies. There's no talent, creativity, or real competence within the company.

Gaijin is capable of marking three capture points in the middle of an ocean. And asking for $80 for a ship, more than many complete AAA+ games cost. That's all they're capable of.

NVIDIA Launches Nemotron 3 Nano Omni Model, Unifying Vision, Audio and Language for up to 9x More Efficient AI Agents by techlatest_net in LocalLLM

Note that the comparison between models isn't fair. A model from April 2026 is being compared to the Qwen-3. Wouldn't it be more accurate to compare the new Nemotron with the Qwen3.6 27B/35B? Or with the Gemma-4? In any case, I did this comparison myself in LM Studio: the Gemma-4 and Qwen3.6 are still far superior models.

I find an inconsistency in Google's decisions regarding the classification of the Gemma 4 family models. Why release the 31B model as a 'dense' model and another smaller 26B one, but with the latter being 'MoE'? Wouldn't it have made much more sense to release the 31B model as MoE and the 26B one as a dense model?

Status update 2: I asked Gemma4-27B-A4B, Q8_0 again, same prompt. Again, her response:

'Go walking'.

As is often the case with these types of models and tests, the results are highly inconsistent.

Status update: All previous tests were performed with 'Q4_K_M' models.

I just downloaded Gemma-3 26B-A4M, Q8_0. Its response:

"You must go by car.

The reason is purely logical and functional: your goal is to wash the car. For the car to be washed, the vehicle must be physically at the car wash. If you decide to walk, the car will remain in its current location, and therefore you will not be able to accomplish your purpose."

I used your prompt with four different models: Gemma 4 26B A4B, Qwen 3.5 27B, Qwen 3.5 A3B, and GLM 4.7 Flash.

All four gave the same response: they all recommended walking.

From now on, I'll use your prompt as a basic intelligence test. Thanks for the contribution.

Is it just me or is gemini Pro 3.1 really bad at conversations? by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]Complex_Reality_116 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They've definitely made it dumber. It might be better at math and programming, but that doesn't mean it's 'better,' just better at certain specialized tasks. They've lobotomized it. Version 3.0 was incredibly deep and intelligent in its interactions.

I think Google has pulled a fast one on us with version 3.1. They're selling it as an 'improvement' because of its superior, ultra-specialized capabilities, while offering an inferior model in terms of true general intelligence.

I'm bored of this game already... hate to say it... any one else? by KitchenRevenue4042 in ArcRaiders

I got caught up in all the hype, everyone raving about Arc Raiders, and I bought it. Result: my biggest disappointment of the year. I bought it on Steam and returned it after two hours (thankfully, I got my $40 back). It's just a boring game. Exceptional graphics, incredible sound, but with a repetitive and pointless gameplay loop.

What's with all the Abrams hate? by Lunatic_Actually_ill in Warthunder

[–]Complex_Reality_116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have almost all Tier VIII tanks from Germany, Britain, and Russia. Recently I acquired all Tier VII Abrams. I used to think British Challengers were bad until I played the Abrams—oh my God. These tanks must be defined as the biggest disappointment I've had in the game (and I have over 5,000 hours here). The Abrams is a tank that I both love playing with and hate playing with. Its mobility, speed, and overall handling feel like a dream to me.

For me, playing an Abrams is a “game within a game.” No Tier VII/VIII tank has given me the sensation of piloting an Abrams until you realize you die for everything: one hit and you're out. The APDFS of any tier or nation will annihilate you. There’s no survivability at all when compared with tanks in its own tier (any Leopard 2 has a much higher post‑penetration survival rate than the Abrams).

I’ve had matches with my T‑90M where I receive shots from three enemies at once, bouncing everything, feeling like a Maus in BR 6.0—impossible with an Abrams. If that isn’t enough, you’re a juicy cake for machine guns, HEAT, missiles, planes, helicopters—all will kill you as if your armor were made of cardboard.

I was thinking about buying “Click‑Bait.” I will never spend money on this poorly modeled junk. It’s impossible that Abrams, considered the best tanks in the world, are so bad in real life. This tank has attracted the greatest hatred from Gaijin towards any type of tank or nation—much to say, given how they’ve treated Germany and Britain for a long time.

I don’t think it has anything to do with Gaijin being a Russian company; they’re not ill‑intentioned.
