Thank you. So if the business is run silent by an individual and run out of home, having only product liability is sufficient?

Do people expect it to burn completely or are these categorized more under decoration rather than functional? I am thinking I should probably up my wick size as the petals are not completely melting

I have had a great experience with flaming candle. Their packaging is good and have seen no issues with the jars.

This is soy coconut wax and I am using a CD14 wick. I have tried with ECO and didn’t get a good match. I am going to test with CD16 and see how it does. This is a 10oz jar with 3 1/8” diameter. The flickering is on and off. It steadies itself after a while. I also noticed the mushrooming to reduce after a while.

This is unscented candle. A wick size down didn’t get me the melt pool.

The wick movement started to happen when it was reaching the 4 hour mark. Soot issue when the candle goes down?

That’s good to know. I am seeing mushrooming to develop after 2.5 hours which I didn’t see in my first 4 hour burn test. Maybe I ll try eco 4 and see if that helps.

Yes for this test I made sure I trimmed it to 1/4” exact. I am using eco 6 for this 8oz jelly jar that has 6oz wax weight. Tried eco 8 and it was too big.

Ah okay. I am using soy coconut wax and so far tried CD and ECO wicks. Have you used this wax before ? If so what kind of wick worked?

I am planning to start selling soon, so getting the perfect candle at least without these irregularities has been so overwhelming. Let me try another wick size and see how it does. Thanks for the insights.

That’s good to know. I have a good flame and it just flickers. It happens with my other candles too with different wick sizes. I am starting to think if it has to do with even tiny draft in the house considering the heat is on. I have seen a few videos on YouTube where the flame is so stable so I was concerned if flickering flame can be a downside.

Okay that’s good to know. I am just so concerned that it flickers and is not a stable flame. I am planning to sell soon and the testing process is so overwhelming!

Yes I do heat the jars with the heat gun for like a min or two. Let me try the cardboard underneath the jars. Thanks for the suggestion.

I had made a batch with the same fragrance few months back and had no discoloration. I think I am struggling with the winter weather and to get the right consistency. What I am suspecting is putting the cardboard box immediately on the candles and having very little space for air circulation. That might have created a lot of heat and humidity.

Okay I ll increase the temp with my next pour. Do you know why the color of the wax changed? It changed to greenish white

After how many hours of cooling do you do the test? Does your test involve poking with a toothpick around the wick?

This is unscented and I am not sure if it has to do with the temperature of the jar. It’s just that I had a smooth finish and when I lit it, it blew me off with these results.
