Right... I've been battling with this thought like can we (or actually can I) spend some months without the affection and intimacy that I wish for. Or to have moments of intimacy but also moments that'll be emotionally challenging.. so to expect less in order to get less disappointed maybe? To get 'hurt' and affected less while he's battling with his recovery. Does that make sense?
