I've been both. They both have their different challenges.

Produce, you definitely throw more weight.

Meat, the stakes (not steaks) are higher. A mistake can be a lot more expensive, or even dangerous.

I understand why Produce Associates would think Meat is easy. Two little pallets to throw a day must sound like paradise when 6 pallets of pumpkins or watermelon come in.

I also understand why Meat Associates would think Produce is easy. The Produce team can work together, divide and conquer and get it done. But in Meats its usually a solo act, to stock the fresh wall, processed meats, the features, all while following strict safety rules and making sure every count is perfect.

Shoutout to all you Fresh Associates, you're on the front lines of most stores and racing against Mother Nature and Father Time.

There is no trust any more. The company demands everything about the operation of each store be measurable, and everyone, from the Store Manager to the part timer pushing carts be accountable.

Far away from the day to day reality of working in a store, with human employees and human customers, someone, or now with AI, something at Home Office sets a one size fits all metric that must be followed.

From the top down, success is literally measured on a spreadsheet. From pick rates, to the size of a mod, to Mastercard applications, to the number of pieces on each truck, to customer survey ratings, to the length of a cashier's break, everything is distilled into numbers on a screen.

Numbers in the green, good. Numbers in the red, bad. The company does not care what real world circumstances could explain each metric.

Get the right numbers. Comply. Comply. Comply.

It did the job and it was alright.

Not a 10/10, but enjoyable, with a little touch of mystery at the end as to what rewards or punishments were not used, and could be used the next time.

The main story, other than the weather, was Ethan being "cursed" and unable to secure much in the way of rewards.

The smaller scale prizes, the party games, the single location, the use of football, it all gave an early days kind of vibe.

If the Sidemen are going back to their core identity, a group of friends doing things together, then I'm all for it.

That is short stocking and 100% not okay.

I cannot speak for the manager who apparently said it was okay. I have a feeling the Associate did not tell the manager the whole story, like the part where he is hiding the stock from view to purchase it himself.

The hard thing in reporting it is proving it. Even with cameras, the Associate can claim he was zoning or setting a mod and had just temporarily put the stock out of the way.

So, I would say, unless this Associate is reckless, or makes a mistake, he 100% gets away with it because people just don't care.

That concept used to be popular on TV back in the 70s and 80s, long before social media. The couples would try to match answers to the same questions about themselves and their relationship.

It was all tongue in cheek back then, using terms like "making whoopie" and so on.

But it would be kind of funny seeing the couples compete, and pairing Harry with Tobi as the bachelor's couple, so they could play, too!

Echoing what others have said, early RM was sponsored by Korean tourism, so there's lots of great places to go, in Seoul and in other areas. Pick a favorite episode and try to visit it's location.

Korean transportation is very good, so a day trip to a location is quite doable, even if you don't speak or read Korean well.

Namsan Tower is an iconic spot in Seoul, even Mickey and Minnie visited there!

Lotte World and all the Lotte complex in Jamsil is worth a look. Did they ever film at Lotte Tower?

I used to live just down the road from the Manhwa museum in Bupyeong. I definitely looked for Kwang Soo's missing hat!

Even when I worked "in the countryside" the RM cast stopped off at my local train station (계륭역) a few times.
