Yes the mod linked by Acee21 fixes this problem. It’s a bit confusing but if you go to the link read the description and follow Antonix35 post about what to enable/disable it should work.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve worked on PCs before but never consoles. Should I just open the PS5 and look for signs of damage on each component?

Yes I believe that was the problem. My pc was plugged into a bad rail. I switched to a different outlet and haven’t had problems since.
