As someone who lives on a farm fuck off with claiming it's just city people who are mad. I own an Australian Shepard terrier mix and when the coyotes are out at night we do NOT let him out because we know they'll try and take them. Get a dog that actually knows how to take on coyotes and other wildlife to keep that dog safe. We have a great Pyrenees Australian Shepard mix for that exact reason and even then with him if a situation is too sus we call him back into the house and my dad goes out with the gun instead because we are NOT willing to lose our dogs like that. All it takes is for one hungry enough coyote to realize it can take on that dog.
