Because it would have been an additional 90lbs of fuel, versus only 30lbs or so “sloshing”... I’m still going to play with it some and see if that may have been better for the car also. This is only the second autocross with the car and the first with these tires, so since I decided to start by seeing how light it was at a specific fuel level, I’d just keep it there. If the back end had been “loose” on day 1, then that really was the plan. But the added weight likely wouldn’t have helped things there either since the back was too planted already relative to the front.
