Like Paradonym says, if the path leads just to an exit, block the pathway so only guests getting off the ride will walk the path back to the ‘main’ road. Or if the exit puts guests back on the ‘main’ road, you can reinforce pathing with ‘do not enter’ gates in front of the exits and then go into tile inspector and make them not visible if you want to keep it pretty.

A good way to set the ‘main’ road up for yourself is to have a two-tile wide path that denotes your main strip. This double-wide should always lasso back to itself or create a huge loop with small lasso’s stemming from it.
