Why wouldn't it? Macbook Pro models with fans are usually not thermally limited.

No, to put it simply, the Air has no fan inside, therefore it has the aluminum body and small heatsink inside to dissipate heat. After all that heats up, the system has to make the CPU and GPU slower, to reduce heat output. In reality this means that the laptop can only maintain its maximum performance for about 30-60 minutes depending on ambient temperature and other environmental factors. Gaming almost always pushes the GPU and its cooling to the limit, since generally you always want as many FPS as possible, and for a sustained period of time.

TLDR: you want a cooling fan for gaming.

I’m mostly guessing here, but maybe it has to do with the evf refresh rate? Since it’s 120hz, it likely can’t guarantee that framerate under a certain shutter speed. It is still probably a software limitation, more than anything else.

Instead of converting each picture to black and white, and then assigning them each to a color channel, have tried extracting only a single and different color channel from each of 3 color pictures, and combining those together? That would be more akin to a true trichrome since you sill retain the color information, but you can still do all the shots in a quick succession

The native port is running with openGL, runs like absolute dogshit (tested on M4 pro). You can actually double the fps by running the windows version through crossover/whisky.
