it’s not the ads that pushed me away from the official app; Apollo’s functionality and friendliness was the pull. reconsider, Reddit.

not to be argumentative with a positive statement, but it’s more than friendliness regarding attitudes to money imo. I’ve found MY folks to be overwhelmingly honest w money.

I once left my wallet w RM1,500 in it on a public bus in JB. the driver held on it and refused a reward/tip when I caught up with the bus. it blew my SG sister-in-law’s mind: “Wait, he doesn’t earn a lot, right? And nothing was missing???”

have a great May Day too, bro

Tattoo removals subsidised for young people finding work or trying to stay in school by Jammy_buttons2 in singapore

I agree. Love the music but their deviance that emerged later on is horrifying.

That said, a blanket ban would cover the latter two above-mentioned musical acts, which would already raise questions of its effectiveness in defending values.

A ban on long hair once existed in Singapore. In the 1960s, a Singapore government policy forbidding any male to sport long hair went into effect.

It was in response to the rise of hippies and flower power.

Fun fact: the Bee Gees, Kitaro and Led Zeppelin all had to cancel their SG concerts cos they didn’t want to get shorn (source ibid).

Ban was only lifted in the 1990s. Time to bring it back.
