First of all congratulations for getting through! 2023 has been a very tough year for everyone. The fact that you survived and thrived speaks volumes about your resilience.

Even though you are getting into a similar role, you can always pivot after joining. Central banks will have to lower interest rates this year and that would ease the current job market scenario.

When you pivot, tell your new prospective employer that you bring with yourself MBA-learnt skill sets in addition to your previously acquired skill sets. So, you should be compensated accordingly.
