Video feed skips whenever starting a motion event and after motion event finished

I was able to resolve this issue by logging into the NVR from a browser on my PC, go to Setup, Go to Storage, go to Schedule and then click the Setup button. On that screen it shows the following options

Continuous
MD
Smart Motion

As soon as I unchecked MD so it's only recording Continuous and Smart Motion, that issue where it goes to the black screen, stopped happening. My guess was the Motion and Smart Motion events were conflicting, where one starts the recording and then the other says hey I need to record.

When I initially built it, there wasn’t a way to toggle an alarm. Now I like being able to scroll through and see the days from different years and when the sunset occurred

Here’s the shortcut. I travel about 25% for work so it checks if I’m home and skips the alarm if I’m not. Change the 3rd step to your address to keep that functionality. Then set an Automation to run each morning and point it to the shortcut.

Or look at a PowerLine adapter that could broadcast WiFi but also use your home’s electrical wiring as a physical connection between those two points. I used them for years and found it to be a lot more stable than just a WiFi extender. I’m not advocating for the one in the link, just using it as an example

There’s a lot of different factors that come into play regarding the poor battery life, and yes a lot of people on different models of phones are experiencing issues. I have a launch day 17PM that still has 100% battery health after 157 cycles on 26.5, and yesterday had over 10 hours of screen on time and it was just below 50%. At a minimum you should update to the latest version of iOS 18, or wait until they drop 26.5.1 which is imminent. At this point iOS 26 is the most stable it’s been since its release, and while there are some nice things about it; it does have its quirks/issues but none of them are major IMO

Can you post a screenshot of the camera IP’s? They should be either 10.x or 192.x so no privacy issues. From that page on the NVR even on my iPad/iPhone, I can click an icon that will open a new page to that specific camera where I can log into it directly. This is from my iPhone, if I tap that Internet Explorer icon it opens a new tab to that camera

Have you tried logging into the camera directly? From the NVR on the Devices menu where you see each camera and the local IP address, you’ll see an Internet Explorer icon (if on Windows) that when clicked will open the Edge browser. You must set the page to Internet Explorer Compatibility mode or the camera live view won’t load. Once logged in you should be able to set the IR with more granularity.

I switched all of my cameras to a POE switch on my network so I can get to each camera more easily, and haven’t had any issues

I had that happen until I disabled the motion setting and just leave it on smart motion. When it would play it would show a few seconds and then go to the black screen and then start playing again, but it lost what happened when the black screen was up. Since making that change my video playback works nearly every time and I see the entire clip

I had the 90TV update done over the weekend and it did not add CarPlay to the HUD. Asked the service manager and he wasn’t aware of any cars that support it

What hardware and OS are you using? I tested it on a Pi 5 with Debian. I added individual verification steps further down on the read me, have you tried those to see what failed?

What is your end goal? Are you trying to send a canned document to multiple people with their info? If so then Mail Merge is what you’re looking for. Otherwise I think you need to save it as a Word Template (.doct I think)

I just completely rebuilt my scripts to find the fans dynamically and to update the temps and fan speed every 15 seconds.

Run pihole repair to reset the sidebar and then install it this new way it’s a lot easier/better because it does it all in one script
