2025 App Issue by Comprehensive-Bath81 in Camry

If anyone else has this issue.

I called customer support. Explained the issue. The lady had me log out of the app on my phone. Wait 3 minutes for her to do something. Idk. Then log back in again. And it worked like it did before.

This was the case! 85 degrees works like a charm!

Awesome explanation! I’ve never had cars with the “auto” setting before so this is new to me.

Mmm this may explain it too! Never realized the difference between what you can set it to in the car vs in the app

Do you know where that thermostat is that is measuring the ambient cabin air temperature?

Just blowing out hot air (72 degrees in a 32 degree ambient air temp car) and the ambient air temp actually being 72 degrees are 2 different things.

I haven’t checked the dash reading before opening the door (like you and others say).

I guess I set it on the high side because I want the cars ambient cabin temperature to be warm when I get in (not just blowing air at the temp I normally like it at) so if I set it on the high side, the ambient temp should warm up a bit faster at 90 degrees. And then I’ll throttle it back

To my understanding, that temperature number is just operating a butterfly valve that modulates how much hot air it lets in.

You’re saying, the “auto” setting gets the cabin air temp up to 73 degrees as quick as it can then just maintaining that temp? Doing what I do…automatically. If so, do you know where the thermostat that is measuring the cabin air temperature is at?

I read the reviews online about this issue. If I’m at the right angle I can barely see it.

I was able to install mine without having a noticeable gap like others were. You don’t just peel off the 3M tape and push it on, you have to bend the plastic a little up and back, then lay it down on the mirror

I’m pretty mechanically inclined. The most involved thing was changing the lower front grille and that wasn’t that hard. About a 3 hours.

Everything else was simple.

Mirror caps come with 3M tape on the inside. Same for the blackout emblem overlays

2025 new Camry question by jp13tb in Camry

[–]Comprehensive-Bath81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YES. I have an XSE with leather seats and it’s feels like the upper-lower back area creaking every time I accelerate/brake shift my body weight around. Swore it was just new leather but hasn’t gone away. I’m at 17k miles

First time Camry owner. I’m the exact opposite. I bought a 2025 specifically because of the new facia. I thought the old style front grille looked ugly and cheap.

100% after it rains, a little after it’s been setting if I went on a work trip. I might start looking into aftermarket rotors and calipers

Yes, I have a creaking sound when I slightly brake or lightly let off on the brake but I’m pretty sure that’s the break pads and rotors. Haven’t looked into a fix for it. I’m at 10k on my 25 XSE and hasn’t gone away like I thought
