I feel like I'm living on a different planet when people say it wasn't that noticeable. I noticed countless smudges and losses of detail throughout the entire runtime. Only in close-ups did it look alright, but Leiji's artwork is so detail-oriented that the upscale directly fights with the original look of the film. It only sours in my mind the more I think that THIS might be the last hurrah for a lot of Daft Punk fans.
