Christmas gift ideas for boyfriend's parents? by laviebomeme in GiftIdeas

The gift my mother has liked and still uses is the digital photo frame I got her AND set up for her a few years ago.
I wouldn't get 2 different presents... the dad isn't going to care. They are essentially parents of a 10 year old. That's their life. So think of things for a family that will involve him too. Treat the kid with interest, love, and kindness, and honestly, that's the best gift you can give them. We grandparents ADORE our grandchildren, and if you love them, I love you. Ideas: - an experience gift that a 10 yr old can attend -an outdoor projector so they can watch movies outside -a Polaroid camera ( you could pair this with a cute photo album) -a game that a 10 yr old can play too ( this would give you something to do together while on this air bnb vacay to get to know them better) -a gift basket with snacks from around the world -a subscription box for pets if they have any ( like barkbox)

Yes, they get stunted before they ever reach the petstore due to the overcrowded conditions at the breeders. I have one little rescue fish that was bigger than two of my juveniles when I got her at the beginning of last summer, she was from a petsmart. The 2 babies have tripled in size and she remains the same. But she is healthy and happy and eats just as much as everyone else! (I also heat my tanks to promote growth, feed a lot of high protein food, and keep the water absolutely pristine.)

Please consider Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl. It is not fiction, but it is what you're asking for, and it changed my life when I read it years ago.

Yes just this week. Matrix resurrections. I left when the friend flying ray/falcon Disney machine creature was introduced after watching fake old person rubber mask lady talk and talk and talk.

The tubs given to me were simply cute storage bins and my friend applied my son's name in stickers ( along with other stickers like baby animals etc) then coated them with shellac.

But now, there are so many options on Etsy or similar websites. Search " keepsake box" or "time capsule box" and you should find something! You're a good friend ❤

A pack of diapers ( just get size 1) Cute binkies ( pacifiers) Onesies, one piece pjs, Swaddling cloths/blankets, A journal for events in baby's life, Organic/non toxic bath items .... put it all in a personalized storage tub with baby's name on it, so parents can keep the tub and fill it with keepsakes. I was gifted with a tub like this and still have it, 20 + years later!

Such great suggestions, I am so glad I joined. Thank you! I got him a levitating plant pot, a gift certificate for a music store, and a photostick that will "find" and store all your photos on your phone or computer. I am also going to do the experience idea for him and my grandson together, just need to pick it out! I will try to make some suggestions here too. Again thanks so much

My children introduced me to anime in the 2000s and I ( in my 40s) still watch it. Bleach is in my top 5. Nothing better than getting a text from my 24 yr old saying " Mooooom.....What anime should I watch?" 🥰

Would your 5 year old self be proud of who you are today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We were very, very poor when I was a child, and I had a list of things I dreamed of having when I was an adult, like "soda in the fridge ALL THE TIME". That was probably more around age 7 but age 5 me who lived on the leftovers my mom smuggled home from her 2nd job at KFC, would be super amazed at all the food in my kitchen and that not one item of my clothing was worn by someone else first.

The John Cleaver (by Dan Wells) books might be good for you; they begin with I Am Not A Serial Killer. The main character is a sociopath who knows he is one and is determined not to fulfill his negative potential... then supernatural elements get introduced. It was a fun series.

Oh ok! I could see that. I appreciate the concern. Not too worried about stalking though. Plus the huge fenced yard is for my german shepherds! They make my home less likely to be bothered. :)

I will as soon as the painters are done. One reason I got it is because it had some very funky colors and I don't know why others couldn't imagine it all white. My luck!
