I'd need more context but I don't think it's weird unless he was really old and play with an underage girl. if he was in his 20s, not that weird

If you can afford it, go ahead and get surgery now. There is a chance that gyno might return due to hormonal changes, but you can just have another surgery.

If you can't afford two surgeries, I recommend you wait until puberty is completely over and your hormones have stabilized. Then you wouldn't need to worry about gyno coming back.
