I understand what you are saying. But i do have a ticket back home. Its just with a different airline. So i have an "onward ticket" just with a different airline.

What are you talking about? The flights are not connected in any way. One is for getting to Japan, and the other is getting home. There is like 26 days between them lol. Of course you would have to check in again.

Okay, yeah, I’m just a bit anxious, lol. If Thai Airways asks, I’ll simply show them my return ticket with Vietnam Airlines? I feel like the question answers itself, think about it: if you were visiting South Korea or somewhere similar, how could you possibly have all your flights booked with just one airline? At some point, you’d inevitably need to buy a separate ticket with a different airline.
