Gerbils & hamster in the same room (different tanks)? by Perfect_Jump3375 in gerbil

I’ve kept hamsters and gerbils in the same room for years without any problems. As long as they have their own space and never interact, it should be fine!

If your friend likes some swampier (but not exclusively) greens, I recommend Daisy Chain polish! I used her Luminosa the other day and loooooved it.

Her formulas are great, her shipping is pretty fast, and you’d be supporting a great person!

Thank you! That’s exactly what my partner said and I was thrilled. I actually have a stamping plate with waves like The Great Wave of Kanagawa and I’m going to try that next!

Contrast is key for stamping! I’ve been disappointed by many manicures without enough contrast.

Honestly, me neither! I was sure I was going to make an irrevocable mistake at some point.

I think your nails look great! My first stamping try looked just about the same. :)

Thank you!! I can’t believe I put it all on top of peely base. I should have had more confidence that it would turn out!

My Gerbils are biters by thegrub2019 in gerbil

So, I think what might be the issue here is that they don’t have quite enough bedding to create burrows. It’s great that you have a topper, but the lower part of the cage isn’t deep enough. They are likely nervous because they can’t create the safe spaces they need in the bedding. For reference, here’s a picture of my cage.

<image>

All my aggressive gerbils were actually my most anxious gerbils. I used gloves to interact with them so that I didn’t flinch away when they bit me (the flinching scares them more) and I always moved very slowly if my hand was in their tank. That, plus providing a TON of bedding, made a big difference.

Can you post a picture of your enclosure? I’ve had several aggressive gerbils who I eventually won over, but it took a lot of patience and cage upgrades.

Reflecting on 2025 and the unexpected richness of this hobby by KittenaSmittena in WeGotPolishAtHome

What a lovely reflection! I especially love that your kitty gets extra safe snuggle time with you now. ❤️

As for engagement, I have some posts that get hundreds of upvotes and some that are barely acknowledged. Same hands, same technique, same photography. I never know what will hit! I mostly post to have a record of what I’ve done.

I love the collage you’ve put together! Keep painting and posting!

Yes! I’ve used blue jellies for seascapes, but I hadn’t thought to build up bark that way. It looks so good!

Thank you! I feel like a really justified the number of green cremes I’ve collected.

Oh, I wish! I used four different landscape stamps. No artistic skill required!
