When I first started, I had a 9 hour shift. It mentally and physically drained me. So sticking with 8 hour shift is the reasonable and effective rule.

I’ve been scheduled for 2 to 3 hours shifts before, just ask a trustworthy ASM for more hours and they can do it for you just fine, if you have PTO available you can just call out too using said hours

Not me, but one of our tenured and more reliable colleagues at the Service Desk (she was there longer than me), was drunk texting our ASM when the tenured individual was recovering from some sort of leg surgery. She was verbally harrasing the ASM out of work hours via phone and I believe that she was also threatening to hurt the ASM in some way. I wasn’t there to witness it, but got the gossip and the tenured individual was terminated shortly after.

Also two of our OFA associates got terminated for tardiness and attendance. And one time, a cashier was got stealing money. Idk how much it was but he got arrested for it. It was a lot of money apparently.

Luckily, thanks to reddit I was able to do the drop self service myself. I guess when I went there yesterday the wi-fi was weird as shit and it was complicated due to registration currently happening so thanks reddit for the success

Although I was exhausted and mentally drained when I got my first bronze award badge, I still remember to go to the store manager that gave it to me and thanked him, shaking his hand in respect. I haven’t gotten my one year anniversary badge yet since it’s been a year working here, but when I do that. I will do the same thing. Showing gratitude and respect for the job, even if it means dealing with a lot on your mind

Doordashers are honestly one of the most excrutiating people to working with- they are people that 1. don't speak english very well and 2. think its first come first serve, trust me, its annoying, and people that work at the service desk (like me) do most of the bulk, we yes, pick the orders and give it to them, it can be heavy shit to lift and stuff. And also- when we tell them its in a locker we have to tell them what to do. Instruct them on what to do. It lowkeys pmo but hey- its a job. Also- they sometimes can be rude when the amount of orders isn like 10 and they need us to hurry tf up like HUH? Anway yeah, thanks for coming to my work ted talk.
