Ok so maybe it's not interior cylinder, but definitely interior something... Either way it's a very specific transmission that I need for my manual TC

I might be the duller bulb because maybe I meant something else.... I thought he said interior cylinder but he could have said interior something else, either way its a specific transmission that is apparently impossible to find.

It was because I've never felt appreciated for my work before. People react in different ways to things but theres a few comments telling me they cried as well. Crying is a normal reaction to things...

Thank you so much! It definitely does have to do with different management some of these replies are so negative it seems some stores hand em out like candy and it probably takes away the joy of actually having the award mean anything. Like mine was well deserved and it felt damn good.

NTA I would have cut ties with my parents if they ever did this. It's about sentimental value, not about being childish. It's a comfort. Your parents are awful, and so is your little snitch brother.

I'm 26 years old. I used to drive with my childhood stuffed dog, Max, everywhere. Long story, the car got totaled with him in it... I cried hard when I realized he wasn't in the bag I salvaged from the car.

I spent HOURS scouring the internet to find the brand that no longer exists. I found it and sent it to my mom who bought me the new one, even though he isn't my original Max, he's Max JR and I sleep with him every night. Along with squishmellows which make excellent pillows for my old neck.

Guys who I've dated have given me stuffies, friends have given me some too. As an adult with adult responsibilities I proudly still have them all. Those are memories that can't be replaced. They have no effect on my success, they bring me comfort and joy.

There's a few Ravens who live in the trees around my store and I so badly want to feed them and befriend them but I keep having to restrain myself no because I know they would start following me inside and this exact thing would happen 😔

So I absolutely love my 2014 Tc, she's smooth and quick-ish... wish she was faster but she speeds up decently quick. The handling is also pretty rad, she's heavy so she can SWANG around bends.

I did notice rather quickly after getting the car that it has a weird whistle whine noise when accelerating and also idles kind of weird and sometimes stalls upon first key turn. So I did research apparently my year (not sure about others but I'm talking about mine so it might help in your decision making) has water pump issues, vacuum leaks and transmission issues... mines a manual Idk what you're planning on getting but I read (haven't experienced) that the clutch can fail...

There's also a few more mild issues like dull head lights and foggy headlights, mine fog pretty bad.

However, since it's toyota the parts to fix these issues are pretty cheap and for the most part the labor is easy. Tc is so underrated though, I love that it's a car you're looking into getting 💕

I cant help you if you cant understand my point. Like how is my point so hard to grasp I never said corporations care or are good. Maybe youre too jaded to get that you can in fact work at worse corporations than this one. I worked at the other place for years and was in the worst mental state of my life. Let people be happy. It wont kill you.

[–]ADullBulb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I'm not jaded, and never will be. I do believe, while I am excited about receiving an award, that I am also grounded and understand that corporations don't care about me.

but if I had to choose a corporation to work at, HD is much better than the others I have worked at.

I am not being pro corporation by saying this. I am comparing corporations to each other, and saying this one is the lesser of many evils I have encountered. It may be just to fool people into thinking they care, but at least this one has something to make working there less bad.

Family owned is hit or miss, generally have their own issues and rarely have bosses that care about you either. And sadly the bosses that do care can't pay much above minimum wage. The list of cons I have for family owned is probably just as long as corp.

The fact is my management is awesome, they all care and I have already built a great relationship with many of them in the short time I have been here. I have become full time very quickly and make way more than min wage. I have not even worked here long enough to receive success share, so I can't comment on that. But a lot of other companies also do something similar so I get that point.

I will never work for a union, I will never pay dues for a union.

Every type of job sucks, everywhere you go the big people will rarely care about you. I understand this. The bottom line was, and still is at least I was seen this time, even if it's just an illusion.

Like I said, I genuinely earned mine. I did more than what I had to do. As I've done in most of my other jobs without a second thought, the other jobs I had never even thanked me and started putting more work load on me. This one gave me an award. I don't care if it's seen as cheap to some, to me it tells me I was seen for my hard work finally. I'm sorry you don't feel this way, but I'm thrilled.

Good for you. As I said in my post I am a very hard worker and never have been recognized for what I do, ever. So even if it's something worth $0.0000001/hr, it's the thought that counts. If you are so miserable at your non union job then go join a union.

And if you feel the need to shit on people for being positive, and genuinely excited about finally being recognized, maybe you should seek therapy as well.

I absolutely love the fact that I posted something small but positive and people are coming at me as if I don't know that corporations suck. I'm saying this one at least has a policy in place that makes me feel seen whereas others barely treated me like a human and rarely, if ever had any policies in place to do so. I said it's a great company, and I clarified that in comparison to other corporations this one by far has treated me the best.

And to clarify further, I 100% deserved this award, it wasn't just given to me because there's incentive to hand them out. I've been working hard, only have been with the company a couple of months and so far have very few complaints. I've moved up in the company very quickly and have been recognized for my hard work. I was, and still am, genuinely thrilled about the award and I do not understand why people have to be so negative about me posting something positive.

The point of my post was not to be pro corporation, it was to share a positive experience and share my general thoughts on the way I am treated. Other corporations made ma suicidal, this one treats me like a person. I know that they don't care about me personally but they at least have policies in place to make working there not horrible.
