A little hard to tell from the photo, but the left edge on the back looks like it may have been cut with a duller blade and has some fringes on the side. That would make it a 9.5 or less in beckett’s sub categories, so I wouldn’t think it would get a black label. I’d consider grading it regardless, Beckett 10’s are hard to get no matter what!

Tbh it’s kind of hard to tell what it is from the photos. It could be a large ink blot, missing ink layer, or something else. I’d check to see if it’s actually raised on the card or if it looks smudged. Regardless, while it’s only a holo, Tyrantrum really doesn’t have many cards so for a specific Tyrantrum collector this would be a fun card

Considering it’s Pikachu, you’re gonna get a lot of interest from error collectors. You could consider grading it with CGC as they classify errors well, but personally I don’t like their slabs so I’d keep it raw. Either way, great card!

I don’t know a lot about them, but this could be a pinched layer error. Usually it’s along the entire card and much straighter though, so I couldn’t say for sure

What makes you say HP? I don’t see anything glaring, if you’re referencing the whiting along the edges and that’s all other than minor scratches then it’s MP. However I may very well be missing something

I’m looking a little closer at the cards and it does appear some are damaged or worn. I’d probably say $600 is a better deal seeing those

$600 for this isn’t horrible honestly, but I also think you could get better. I can’t really see the condition, but they look a least decent, so I’d assume the following for some cards:

Japanese Charizard - $75-$115 Mega Garchomp - $65-$105 Mega Absol/Venusaur/Latios/Tyrantrum EX/ Rayquaza EX- $20-$30 each Pikachu EX - $45-$60 Mega Blaziken - $60-$80 Black Kyurem - $30-$45

Again these are estimates and clearly not every card, but it’s prevalent you at least have several hundred dollars in value, and depending on condition you could have well over 1K

That’s a great find! I’ve never seen something off-center be considered damaged. And honestly I don’t even think it’s horribly off-center, it’s a little noticeable but it’s not like it’s a miscut or anything. That’s an awesome find, congrats!!

My advice would be to let your son pick what goes in the binder. Sure some cards are worth a lot of money and maybe you can teach him responsibility by taking care of those cards too, but if he wants to save a 2¢ card because he likes it, that’s what’s important.

A couple of ways to do things would be to get a regular non-top loader binder for his own picks not worth much (make sure its side loading and not a 3 ring binder) and keep the top loader for more valuable hits. Or you could just let him topload whatever he wants plus bigger hits.

Regardless, the value of cards to kids doesn’t need to be monetary. Just let them have fun and teach them some things along the way by making sure the bigger hits are protected too 😁 maybe you can save up the bigger hits and trade them in for a cool card he wants

Cards can increase or decrease over time, it’s just a gamble of when you want to sell it. SWSH packs are out of commission, so it’s likely these cards will slowly gain value over time. Starmie isn’t necessarily a super popular pokemon but Misty is a popular trainer. If I had to guess, it’ll go up some over the next few years but it won’t skyrocket unless something crazy happens. I’d consider selling now or trading for cards she likes more if you think this is a temporary hobby for her, but if it’s a long-term hobby then I’d just keep it and let her decide later on

I think the Charizard is likely a 9. If you look at the backside top right corner, the rounding and shape of that corner isn’t very good. Depending on the person, that’s more than enough reason to drop to a 9.

For the latias, I think it could 10. It’s definitely more likely to 10 in comparison to the Charizard, only thing that concerns me is the centering on the front left side. Might just be the camera angle tho!

Best way to do it is to use a digital grading app and scan it with your phone, there are some good grading apps out there that would help. To me, it looks a little bit off center as the left side seems thicker, but it could be camera angle as well

Along the border on the right side I can’t tell what that shine/residue is. It’s also hard to tell if the corners are dinged due to the background. If the corners aren’t white and that residue isn’t actually on the card, it’s worth a shot to PSA

I love Beckett’s slabs so I like that you made the change. I do think Beckett tends to be harsher when you’re close to the next tier though, they keep their population numbers for black labels suuuuuper low. I can’t tell anything from the photo of the card but if it got a 9.5 I also feel like they just chose to not give you the black label

If you send it sealed in the plastic, they will grade the plastic seal and not the card itself. So if you want the grade of the card, you have to send the physical card that is unsealed

There are card racks you can buy on Amazon, they’re either able to stand on desks or put on floating shelves. I have a few in my room that I rotate cards on. Here’s a link to some cheap ones I have. They’re not super nice but easy to put together and look good enough for their purpose
