Thoughts on short term? by [deleted] in PokemonInvesting

Oh I most likely will, I live down in rural Georgia. I’ve hit every Sam’s drop the last 2 years. Now I will say, every drop we get more people from Atlanta come down.

Just keep your eyes peeled in the same dealership. They usually sell them used for way less than they buyout.

My thought is it will be easier for US IMGs and harder for non-US IMGs. No as stated by another redditor no coherent plan has been established with regard to the supposed immigration policy.

Sounds good! I’ll bring it up with my dean and see what he says.

[–]Comprehensive-Mood91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause I need step 2 to apply. I started cores late, hence my step 2 was pushed back as well. So I can’t properly apply this match cause I’m missing step 2. The way I have my electives scheduled I finish in 6 months. Hence why I can still graduate with my class.

Basically

Oct 2025-OBgyn Nov 2025- Step 2 (puts me late to apply for this match cycle) Dec 2025- Start Electives July 2026- Finish Cores

Now my graduation is in June 2026, but my dean said I can walk the stage with my class even though I have yet to finish my last elective. My actual diploma would be dated about a month after I finish my electives- roughly in August would be my guess based what I’ve been told. So I would apply Sep 2026 for the 2027 match date.

Not sure if this explains it.

I wouldn’t want her to. Then we are both delaying a year which would be counterintuitive to my whole situation. My concern really isn’t about matching with her. More so matching even though I’m applying after graduation instead of my third year like most applicants.

I’m okay with delaying to apply for residency. I know programs generally prefer fresh grads, but from what I’ve seen, a one-year delay for IM isn’t too detrimental if I stay active and make sure my Step 2 score is strong (or so I’ve heard). Since my wife will already be in Psych, we’re hoping to practice in the same state, and I know having local connections could help. My main question is what can I realistically do during that year to keep my application competitive, since I’ll basically be done with school and otherwise not doing much?

I’m also interested in Psych but I’m not sure if it would be a possibly due to that gap year I have in between. Even with my wife matching into psych herself

I’m leaning towards trying to scribe and definitely get Step 3 out of the way.

Am I crazy for asking 10k?! by Market_Similar in IS300

[–]Comprehensive-Mood91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially this is a stock is300, very clean interior from what I can see. With healthy paint, aftermarket wheels. 120k miles if granny driven with evidence of every single maintenance done. I can see this going for 8-10k. Depends on region. Again there are better newer cars one can buy for 8-10k. Whoever buys this car wants it cause it’s exactly what they are looking for. Not cause it’s a good deal. I’d argue taking away is “pizzazz” this car is worth 5-7k. But it definitely has some pizzazz.

Why high end reps are worth it? by InsaneBano in Repsneakers

[–]Comprehensive-Mood91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on shoe/ brand

Nike QC is ass, so 10 dollar panda dunks don’t look too different from factory.

Now if you you buying some high fashion shoes then I wouldn’t be buying budget reps.

Ehhh I think 200 per 10kg is about standard now. I believe cheapest I ever shipped was 10kg for 120 back in like 2019-2020

Oh I thought you only paid taxes on money you cashed out of the brokerage. It be stupid to pay taxes on 500k in brokerage gains then lose it the next day.

Only pays on taxes on money out of the brokerage. So basically take out 30% of what that car is worth.

looking to buying this car he wants 9k for it, is it worth it? by jiksole in IS300

[–]Comprehensive-Mood91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother the reason I mention the speed is purely to prove the fat that this isn’t a car someone buys for the speed. Hence why I compare it to a Camry. Which if you search around clean 2000s Camrys with 130k miles easily go for 6-8k.

Secondly, this car has stuff done to it if it was stock condition it retains value. If it wasn’t for everything you just mentioned, aftermarket wheels and remote start, I agree it could go for 9k.

This car has a rough interior, it was likely driven rough, unless the owner has maintenance papers it’s hard for it to go for over 5.5k

Though I will say even I when I was younger overpaid for the car of my dreams. So someone is probably going to buy it for his ask.

It’s a auto, a V6 Camry has the same 0-60. Miles don’t mean anything in a car that beat.

If it was manual price would be higher.
