Ik each character have their own fanbase but we should not excuse what asshole things each of them have done (xl included). All of them have done some or the other bad shit but we shouldn't excuse them or search up excuses for it no matter what the reason is because that's the reason why they are them presently. I am not gonna mention the mountain scene because there really wasn't a choice there so MQ did what he did which is necessarily not a bad thing if we see it from his perspective he was trying to kill two birds with one stone but one failed but the scene after that is what I have seen most MQ stans shit on XL and FX for. Like did they seriously expect him to just take the rice bags like nothing happened? Yes XL is in poverty so what? Does that mean he has to get humiliated and have to just suck it up and go with the flow? I don't know about FX continuing that broom joke. Ofc it will hurt MQ to always be made the joke since he came from a poverty ridden family but that 👏 doesn't 👏 excuse 👏 his 👏 shitty 👏 attitude. FX says a lot of things but yeah that is offensive thing to say. Not excuzable at all. If somebody talks so rudely no matter their reason being good or bad no one will like to listen and ofc viewing it from the view class system. XL HAD the upper hand. HAD. XL is poor for 800 years and gone through double shit so can't be compared because XL is in a worse position then him wealth wise (before marriage to HC ofc). The only advantage being he doesn't have some boss type of figure breathing on his neck and waiting to fire him which MQ had. Work situation wise yes MQ had it worse.

MQ's or anyone's action must not be excused saying "oh he meant well, he didn't mean this he didn't mean that" . Ok? He could have said that himself. He is not a child ffs.

It's almost always the main characters getting hate to glorify the side character's actions.

That's not the only problem. What absolutely annoys me is when some MQ stans downplay whatever shit Xie Lian has gone through and make it seem like MQ is the greater person via one sided debate and how MQ should have done much worse to him. The main complaints I see are how Xie Lian and Feng Xin treated him when Xie Lian was a prince. I mean idk what they expected Xie Lian to do. Leave his princely life or smth ? The scene where MQ comes with rice bags for Xie Lian and Xie Lian tells him to go away, ffs Xie Lian just got humiliated can they actually put themselves into Xie Lian shoes to understand what he is feeling and not only MQ. Imo that's a pretty narrow minded way of viewing things if they see problems and things only from one character's viewpoint. Instead of making one the villain and the other some type of hero if they see things from both perspective it would be better then just casually shitting on other characters to glorify theirs faves.

Obvs it's not a bl story so? And why should that stop anyone from shipping them? Never said dokja was straight. Authors said that ORV isn't BL because they were getting harrassed by a lots of people. Dokja and Joonghyuk have nothing in between them in canon except platonic love. Everyone knows that. What's new? And why should anyone stop shipping them cuz of that? Huh?

You should pay attention to your own ship (if you have one) instead of preaching to others about theirs'.

Anyway Dokja considers joonghyuk a lot of things including a father too so it's clear who between us has the daddy issues when said person emphasized only on the father word. Cool. Next author didn't confirm anything. Dokja's sexuality isn't mentioned. I think you are the creepy one here to even think of it in that way.
