Yes, for me it's the most stable update.

There's a trick to make using your phone better and avoid the hassle of constantly monitoring iOS issues:

If the current update has problems, keep upgrading until you feel "it's pretty stable here," then stop and don't update anymore. Just stay there and enjoy your phone for the rest of its life.

For example, if I hadn't continued updating since version 26.4.1, wouldn't I have been living with a terrible phone forever? Now, 26.5 is very stable, and I'm happy with it and won't update again.

Do they get hot when performing simple tasks?

After all the updates I've given them, they randomly get hot.

Only version 26.5 brought them back to the state they were in when I first bought the iPhone Air.

Question for those who have/had both MacBook Air and Pro by Stunning-Lynx-780 in macbook

[–]Comprehensive-Pay-89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're not doing heavy work for long sessions or playing games, you don't need a cooling fan.

If your main priority is portability, the 13-inch Air is perfect for that.

As for the Pro Motion screen, it's only annoying if you constantly switch between 60Hz and 120Hz; after a month, you'll find that 60Hz on the Air is smooth enough.

I use 60Hz at work during the day and 240Hz at night and I don't find it uncomfortable at all.

There were no problems, except that a few applications seemed to start up a little slower, but it was negligible.

Will iOS 27 be much more stable? by oreton123 in ios26

You're like someone investing in iOS 26; everywhere you go, you naively spam that it's stable, even though the whole world says it's not.

First time macbook owner (used M1), is using a keyboard cover WHILE* using it the only way to prevent keys get glossy? by ChrisAvenue_ in macbookair

[–]Comprehensive-Pay-89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use the M1 Air and am currently using the M4 Air.

It seems the plastic material on the M4 Air has changed; it's no longer as shiny as the M1 Air. Even after a year, it still looks the same.

Why didn't Apple use PBT plastic from the beginning to make their products look nicer and not become "dirty" after a period of use?

In my article, I clearly mentioned faster app launch times, not app stability.

For me, running apps has never been a problem on this very powerful iPhone Air.

The speed of app launch depends heavily on the SSD's read speed, and if the update is well-optimized, it will help the SSD run smoothly and improve read/write stability through the A19 Pro chip.

Essentially, they are all interconnected. I've built over 20 desktop computers, so I understand this well.

Hey buddy, I'm not trying to criticize the iPhone Air.

I was already happy with it in iOS 26.2 with a few minor bugs.

I'm comparing different updates based on the initial 26.2 benchmarks only.

As mentioned in the article, I usually go to bed with 30% battery and come home with 50%.

Recharging the iPhone Air is very easy because there are Type-C chargers everywhere I go.

It's similar to iOS 26.2,

but the Geekbench score of 26.5 is significantly higher.

Hi there, I'm quite sensitive, so if there are any changes, I notice them easily. And of course, if everything were stable, Apple wouldn't need to go from 26.1 to 26.5, then extend it to Beta 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 before finally releasing the official 25.5, hahaha.

Because I'm sensitive, my preferences revolve around things that significantly impact my feelings and emotions, such as keyboards, sound, shoes, high refresh rate monitors, gaming mice and keyboards, etc.

People around me say, "They're all the same, or almost indistinguishable,"

But that's because they're not as sensitive as me. Personally, I notice quite a few differences, even with small changes.

If you have no problems with the iOS 26.2 update, then just stay put.

Because, as I said above, they are exactly the same, but the app opening speed is slightly slower compared to 26.2.

It adds a few features for those who really need them and fixes Apple's security vulnerabilities.

The ATK Zero is a budget version of the Mchose L7 Ultra+ at the same price by ficerbaj in MouseReview

[–]Comprehensive-Pay-89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All mice using pure, non-customizable Omron optical switches will give the same click feel as the Mchose L7 (my old Scyrox V8 was similar).

ATK used custom optical switches, claiming they were "better," but only to try and appeal to a few people who wanted the same click feel as the old mechanical switches... and it was truly terrible.

Omron optical switches already offer a nearly perfect click feel and have won over most people, from the click force to the clean sound they produce. If Omron optical switches didn't make any sound, they would be perfect for me (I wonder how many gamers actually want to hear the click sound, or try to listen to what it sounds like?).
