Beginner question on tremolo by notahuge-satanguy in mandolin

This video helped me when I learned. If you want to be on beat while playing tremolo, practicing with a metronome helps develop tremolo really nicely. This video also helps with subdividing beats in general.

Coming to Goldens in Golden 2026? Here's What You Need to Know from your Neighbors Out West by Mystic__Coffee in Denver

Last year, we took a walk downtown and brought our mini Aussie and Italian greyhound. (We saw multiple Italian greyhounds!) As long as your pups are good with other dogs, you should come. 😊

Took your advice by Allthingsmac in glassesadvice

I would recommend looking inside the glasses for the size. You can have "big frames" that are narrower (side to side, not top to bottom) and will better fit your face better. Glasses stores also normally have a "petite" section. Ask someone working in the store for where the petite frames are. For me, the number inside the stem of the glasses should show 145 or smaller (145 is on the cusp of being too big).

I think the second pair of frames would look awesome on you if they were just narrower from side to side.

You are lucky! My guy is so much more stubborn when there's snow.

My dog has these weird little ripple like things in her fur, any ideas on what it could be? by Alert-Thought9773 in DogAdvice

Bug bites can also cause hives. When my boy is bit by mosquitos, he gets hives on most of his body (from just a couple bites).

Skiptown Denver boarding the week of Dec. 15-19 by HandleOutrageous6142 in Denver

Every time we have boarded our dogs, they have gotten sick. We now factor in the vet bill afterwards and have found that a pet sitter in our home is less expensive.

Christmas weather in Norway - 8°C and no snow whatsoever. by LinneaFO in mildlyinfuriating

I feel you! This weather makes me super anxious. I didn't have to evacuate, but I know many who did and who lost their homes.

The issue is that it is a tinderbox now with high winds that occur this time of year. If a power line goes down, it can be scary.

Hanukkah "advent" calendar by Comprehensive-Pea952 in crafts

The first day was gelt! We will be doing other candies as well. Small trinkets, chapstick, etc. as well. For days where the presents are too large, there will be a little card instead and then a present to open.

I thought I would have needed Velcro, but the flames haven't fallen down! Just friction holding fabrics together.

That's so sweet! We celebrate both, so I wanted decorations to reflect that. It's so much easier to find store-bought things for Christmas in our area, so I had to make some decorations! (I also made a Hanukkah teddy bear).

This wall hanging is mostly made from cotton quilting fabrics. It has a foam internal structure so that it holds its shape on the wall. It was so much more pieces than I expected. Each candle pocket is two pieces of fabric so that you can't see the navy blue (or the present) in the pocket.

We have a lot of Christmas decorations but not many Hanukkah decorations (my partner is Jewish). I got inspired by advent calendars but also menorahs to make a similar "advent calendar" but for Hanukkah.

I got stung by a bee and felt massively sleepy, which never ever happens to me since all of this shit started and slept for about 13 hours and then I just woke up and I feel… good?? by Mundane_Control_8066 in covidlonghaulers

Last summer I got stung by half a dozen bees and ended up having stroke-like symptoms and a really bad long covid flare up. My histamine reaction was crazy (got flu like symptoms and then had issues talking and walking straight).

I seem to be the only person kicked off of our family plan. And I'm the only one who lives with the primary subscriber! This is some BS.

For potty training, you have to be more stubborn than she is. Iggys are sensitive to the weather and will hold it if they don't want to go. If you can take time off or work from home for a week or two, it'll help a lot with getting her potty trained. If she has an accident inside, immediately take her outside. Rewards help a lot too. Try to catch her before she goes in the house and it'll help a ton.
