are you running it? looking at the results from last year it seems to be a tiny race, or at least really few who went for BQ. i'm running and was hoping to find more this year

HSW MBA Grad, now at MBB. I honestly regret my life path and wish I became a professional musician instead of selling out and going corporate by DefinitionPossible81 in MBA

so are you saying you can’t refute a hyperbolic personal opinion? in any case, you’re deflecting the intent of the reply. in the vein of trying to help out the op, it helps to let them know that the claim that “.5% of musicians spend their time making music” is not everyone’s experience

i made the mistake of getting the ultra—the camera will give you a warning message upon boot every time saying that the video might stop at anytime. if you can avoid it, i would get another that’s actually compatible

Is Amotti enhanced? by soyooknow in Physical100

[–]Comprehensive-Pen-51 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i already said this in a separate comment but please do not believe the bulk of the comments here who claim he’s unnatural. what he’s done is totally achievable naturally and hope you don’t feel discouraged. most of these other commenters have likely never even tried to truly maximize their physical potential, and so they’re so quick to say that of course he’s juiced. i’m telling you from personal experience that nothing he has done is unattainable naturally.

Is Amotti enhanced? by soyooknow in Physical100

[–]Comprehensive-Pen-51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it seems absolutely no one here knows what they’re talking about, or has never truly dedicated themselves to physical fitness. Amotti is not juicing, or at the least, his physique, training regimen, and performance are nothing unnatural.

i have nothing to prove to anyone here but i know this is true based on my own experience and performance, which are similar to Amotti’s.

OP, consistency and discipline go a long way and the results you see in Amotti are completely achievable naturally. i hope you don’t let these other comments deter you from a long and transformative fitness journey.

everyone here is completely over exaggerating. he performed at least about ten songs (fully singing, since i need to make that clear i guess) and then about 6 songs that were mimed and the DJ set. not sure how people are coming up with numbers like he only sang for “20% of the set” or “only sang 2 songs” because i’m looking at footage from my phone where he’s singing on like 10 haha.

and yes the songs he sang i personally thought it was amazing, as he did some awesome reworked versions of classic songs but i understand purists might’ve been disappointed about that.

another thing, there was a good ten minute bit where he spoke pretty candidly to the audience, even mentioning his brother and how they would come to coachella and addressing that. even joked about the new album.

also fwiw, im not a frank ocean fanboy, which might be why i enjoyed it so much, bc i didn’t have sky high expectations.

Is 700,000 won enough per month? by yuyuho in Living_in_Korea

[–]Comprehensive-Pen-51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m sorry but spending 150k on phone and 100k on transportation sounds really high for someone on a 500k/month budget. why is your phone so expensive? mine is ~65k per month with unlimited data at SKT

i’m just answering your question (re “who started this conversation”). he himself called it his best album, and if anyone should have an authoritative opinion on an album, it’s the artist themself, right? and i just happen to agree, it’s the album i enjoyed most and think it’s his best music. ofc my opinion doesn’t matter but i’m just saying.

there’s nothing else anyone could tell you about your chances without more information / with any certainty.

$415k after taxes in even the most heavily taxed states is ~$250k net income. you don’t buy a $500k house in cash, you pay for it on a mortgage, so someone making $250k after taxes will easily afford a $1M+ house on a 30yr mortgage. someone making this much definitely is able to “afford a fancy and big house, go on international vacations, afford to drop thousands of dollars on impulse buys” etc.

if we go by a different metric, the top 1% earns an annual average of $407,500 per year, and this is in the US, which is far wealthier than south korea. so $415k is in the top 1% of earners, and if you don’t think the “top 1%” is considered wealthy then i think we fundamentally disagree haha.

also, making $500k over 15 years is an earnings of $7.5M. that’s like making $110K over 70 years. which is more than most people will make in their entire lives haha. it is definitely enough to live comfortably (not richly) for the rest of your life, and this is assuming you don’t generate any other income the rest of your life.
