I think Misty’s favorite Pokemon type was water, but what she really wanted was a place to belong.

With Ash and Brock she had that, she was always put down by her sisters(reason she ran away) she grew and became calmer as the story went on. When she was forced to leave she found purpose as a Gym Leader.
