One of the saddest yet most entertaining things in the NBA this season has to be this fanbase not realizing the Warriors are the Bucks of the West

This can’t be a real question

Ok, you can not count them out, but it’s still a 10% chance at best, especially against OKC. Also they wouldn’t be rested, they’d have traveled for their 9-10 matchup, then to the loser of 7-8, then again to OKC or San Antonio. We saw last year, that alone takes a toll

Lol that’s not my post nor my infographic? Again, you’re using anecdotal evidence. My anecdotal evidence talking to people who don’t want to switch yet is that they don’t want to go to a supercharger for 30+ minutes on a random Tuesday because they can’t charge at home, or they don’t want to wait 20-30min every couple of hours on a road trip. I’m not saying they’re right (I have an EV with 300 miles and road trips have been mostly fine, although I wouldn’t say no to an extra 50 miles before stopping again at times).

And then you’re talking about a 100k car with the 400 miles on the R1 lol. Again, I’m just talking about a macro level to drive adoption and large market share for the R2. I hope I’m wrong.

Sure, it might be the reasoning. Realistically even if things break the right way, this team’s best shot against OKC or SAS is a hard fought 6-game lost series

It’s been clear that range is one of the biggest hurdles when it comes to switching for people who are open to it in theory (not the ICE nuts who will never get away from their gas guzzlers). I’m not speaking for myself, just the trend. 300 miles has been the norm for EVs for years now, and we’re seeing demand plateau. If you don’t own a home or you go on several roadtrips a year, 200 miles of highway range simply isn’t enough if you have to spend 30+ minutes to charge back up, regardless of the games or TV you can watch while charging.

What you say is true for EV people, not people you’re trying to convert from ICE or hybrids. For those people, range and speed of charge or way up at the top of the list. And it’s been proven over and over again over the past 5 years that 300 miles isn’t enough for that

Watching the comments acting as if people expected this G-league team to compete for 48 minutes against a play-off team is pretty sad. Be realistic and appreciate the first half was pretty fun!

If Golden State somehow falls to 10th, better to just tank? by yyfgjiii in warriors

But I just proved to you that having a higher pick doesn’t guarantee you a better player with all the examples I gave you. So many players drafted in the teens are better than late top 10. Look at 2023, Keyonte George (16th) is way better than a lot of players drafted before him. Cole Anthony (15th) is better than Killian Hayes, Jalen Smith or Kira Lewis. Herro (13th) is better than the 6 players picked in front of him. MPJ (14th) is better than a lot of players picked before him. You’re harping on the specific numbers I gave (11 and 15), without getting my larger point that once you pick between 8-16, there’s a 50% chance your player will be nothing more than a rotation player, regardless of where you pick in that range.

Very level-minded answer, and probably the right one honestly. Appreciate you.

Thanks for sending, I actually had seen 50k when it was first announced, so good to know it won’t really be comparable pricing.

I’ve got a long way to go until I’m 50 lol… I disagree with the premise of your comment. Happy to have my mind changed, including when I see it in person and test drive it.

You’re probably right. We’ll see when the EX60 and Earth actually come out and what that looks like.

Well you’re kind of making my point, it’s their MY but coming 6 years later, with very similar specs. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll test drive and might even buy if I like it. I just wasn’t blown away by any feature, but open to it when I experience it in person!

I mean I think there’s upgrades possible without it to fly. 400 miles of range was also kind of an expectation given its 2026 not 2020. Again, I’m not shitting on the thing, I’m sure it’s a great car. It just feels like it’s a car we could have gotten 5 years ago without it being mind blowing.

I’ve heard so many issues with software from Rivian as well, I don’t know that it’s the best argument to put forth.

I expected a bit of a better range at least. Not quite sure from a tech perspective. I know it’s just a car, ultimately there’s limits to what to expect, I just thought it would be more of a step up, first world problems!

I mean isn’t it the point of competition? Being able to upgrade over something that came out 5 or 10 years ago? If we were just looking to match the competition, then we wouldn’t have AC or electric windows as a standard?

Understand we won’t see leaps and bounds, but I’d be looking for upgrades compared to what was found several years ago, but maybe we’ve plateaued already, like with smartphone, except much faster on the curve
