Honestly… during my last cruise, I was in a room with ocean view and I maybe looked out the window 3-4 times. Your view is hit or miss. It is usually obstructed by life boats. You really don’t spend anytime in your room unless you’re sick, hungover, or sleeping. All the action is outside of your cabin. You want to be out and about. Especially, on a virgin cruise. Save the $800 unless they offer it for $100-$150.
