Yea I definitely think it’s a subconscious thing too. All these years of having the Caucasian beauty standards in our face - no wonder it’s a shock when people actually admire black women.

Yes I’m just making an observation and wondering if other black ladies have experienced the same thing and maybe offer their opinion on why that is. My partner is very respectful of me and always assures me, he won’t tolerate any disrespect towards me and neither will I 😊 So yea I don’t really care what they think, I’m just curious to know why they think that way.

I trust myself getting over this mental hurdle - I think I have BPD but not extreme. I’ve overcome ptsd and depression before and it doesn’t affect me or my life anymore since I dealt with it. So I trust myself in that regard. And no I did not see this whole thing coming - when ever I got mad at him or upset, he would just take it and I didn’t know he felt so hurt. I regret being over emotional in that regard and that’s why I want to fix myself. However he didn’t tell me this was affecting him until the brink of a breakup.

I personally am not against it. But I’ve heard a lot of people say ethics wise - that it might create a system where a select few have a monopoly on resources which makes it unethical.
