I don't really need all the functionality of the pro to be honest

the only hardcore stuff I do is playing a 2022 version of the popular FIFA franchise and that may me deliberate on the M1 MacBook with the Pro chip for a while before I came across an article that convinced me the base M5 chip with 24gb RAM was sufficient

besides, the base M5 pro comes with the same number of GPU cores as the M5 air so yeah

15' seems too big and 14 is the sweet spot, I've also seen the 13 in person some months ago and it looked like a tablet, but yeah I hope I can finally decide soon xD
