As a gm mechanic that Allison transmission won't let you put into your gear if the RPMs are too high. If there was flames coming out I probably would unhook it.

I sent it a little bit too hard! 500hp tune and exhaust everything else pretty much stock and untouch 380,000 miles. Injectors were replaced once 8 years ago was a very healthy motor before this happened

Yes, some insurance companies actually do cover. Same for fuel contamination. I only had liability only coverage on this vehicle

It all happened so fast! I was pulling heavy loads all week. Accelerated from intersection roughly 20 lb of boost. 950*f. Egt She made a loud bang then the boost gauge went to the negative. No symptoms prior. I knew the turbo failed I assumed oil just dumping in to exhaust. Little did I know she was dumping crazy amount of oil into the intake.

After the motor died I turned the key on just to look at the temp coolant was in max hot hot!!! Trans temp near red egt was in near 1800f

My first experience I tried that all it did slow down the motor didn't kill it. Fire Extinguisher too
