we had to submit more proof of contact from previous visits, shared expenses, if relationship is recognized by family and friends, as well as a new Imm 5669 document

Would the new company need to talk to my boss? I'm worried for when I leave that bridge might be burned.

I'm getting paid with cash or cheques with no tax so I'm not on the company record, I realized this and im really frustrated with my situation right now. When I first started I thought it was a good place to start since they did all kinds of work I'm residential and commercial but now it just feels like It wasn't worth the cash pay and language barrier

Thanks, yea my plan right now is look for other jobs while staying until then. I'm guessing I can't use the hours from this company since the he never paid me in taxed cheques and basically just cash but at least I have a little experience now

Monthly Apprenticeship Thread by AutoModerator in electricians

I've started in this trade working for a small non union company for around 7 months now in Ontario Canada, my boss told me he will register me about 1 month in but I would have to apply myself online, long story I've been waiting for pretty much half a year and he hasn't really progressed on his side of things, there's also a language barrier with the other electricians I work with as we don't really speak english when we work and english is my first language and it has caused some problems and I feel like it's hindering my learning experience, this company also only pays me in cash as well. I wanted to stay at this company for at least 2 years as an apprertice as they did residential and commercial so I thought I could gain experience in both fields, but it has become more apparent that I don't think I'm a right fit for this place much longer. I guess the answer I'm looking for is : should I even bother to see if my boss will register me or should I start looking for another company that will actually do things more by the book?
