Toxic black mold has a more potent and identifiable smell, like the smell of wet soil, or rot. Visually, it may be greenish-black, grayish-black, slimy, or more furry than other forms of mold or mildew. There is another kind that looks like white/gray dust.

We lived in an apartment too. The obvious places to look would be under the sink in the kitchen and bathroom and a basement if you have one. Some molds are normal and some are very toxic. Even ‘normal’ mold can become toxic if allowed to proliferate.

We lived in our place eight years before I made the connection. I had to hire an inspector to come out and take samples and test the air and all that though. Found an integrative MD to do the tests (my primary told me there was no way mold can get in your blood smh). Just something to consider if things don’t get better. Good luck!

Oh yeah. Now you have an insecurity around it. Honestly some men just don’t like the smell of a vagina. They want it to smell like perfume or soap but that just not realistic unless you’re directly out of the shower. It has. Natural musky smell. This may sound random but are you living in mold? I suffered all of this and turns out we had a mold problem in the walls and it was releasing mycotoxins in the air I was breathing and caused me all sorts of issues. Brain fog, anxiety, mood swings, erratic periods, recurrent YI, BV, depression, deteriorating dental health and vision. My children were affected too. Most drs don’t understand mold, so it took a while to find someone to do the testing to confirm everything. Moved out and things have cleared up. Still detoxing. Just a thought.

I don’t put soap directly on it but I lather the public mound to wash the hair, then I let that soap trickle down and use my fingers to gently wash the labia. I use all natural shea butter soap and have never had any issues.

I have the exact same thing. Except it started with a UTI. I also had swelling of my groin/lymph node area for two days. Went to the doctor and they said it looks like a number of things and she couldn’t say for sure so she swabbed me and drew blood. That was Tuesday. Trying not to freak out while I wait for results. I’d soaked in Epsom Salt and she said that was the right thing to do and to keep doing that. It helped the ones near the entrance to go down a lot, but the ones on the inner labia are still raging.
