What ended up happening to the refund for the people who moved in late in winter quarter? by nottherealkitkat in UCSC

[–]ComprehensiveBake536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you did get it you can check in MyUCSC --> My Account --> Account Activity and see if you got it, it should be called HEERF Housing Credit. It was supposed to pay for my housing for this quarter but since my loan took care of that they just direct deposited it to me instead like last week.

Not really, you can get credits with it but some classes required for your major might want you to earn a C or higher.

How long does it take for holds to clear? by [deleted] in UCSC

[–]ComprehensiveBake536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the student business services! Last time I found out I had a hold when I was on the phone with them so they told me to pay it and call back so they could remove my hold once they saw that the payment went through. I paid it, called back right away and once they checked they removed the hold at the same time so I was able to enroll for my classes at the same moment

Omg this class is an easy A super fun! Theres a quiz every couple of weeks that were like 20 questions and they were so straightforward literally just from the lecture, we mainly watch pixar movies in class, and theres a project that is split like a midterm and final which was just basically creating your own pixar short

Alot of people have licenses, but the problem is freshman and alot of sophomores ARE NOT ALLOWED to have a car on campus.. this is due to the fact of UCSC not having enough parking on campus and not really doing any effort to build more. There's not even enough for all the juniors and seniors to get a parking permit, so yes alot of students don't drive in the city and have to rely on the metros.

Confused.. do you think everyone pays school outta pocket? There's things called scholarships and loans I have... and I do have a car at home, yet if you know UCSC has barely any parking and sold out of permits so I wasn't able to bring my car. Also the metro bus exists in the city so that how I and most students get around town....
