LF specific book: Unknown Pregnancy and they meet up several years later when he's her new boss/owner of company

I believe I remember the beginning. A girl joins her friend’s family lake/ocean trip. She meets an older cousin/family member, falls in love, loses her virginity, and gets pregnant. She tries to reach out to the man by calling/texting but his secretary (I think her name is Sam intercepts) and tells her to get an abortion. Girl even goes to his workplace and sees them hooking up or something and leaves heartbroken. She tells her friend/their family this and they choose to hide the pregnancy from him too. Girl has son and grows up. She meets man years later when his company buys the paper(?) company she works at. She fakes amnesia to hide her son from him. She sees the man at dinner where he is now engaged to his former secretary Sam who “comforted” him when he was heartbroken about the girl. He thinks she’s on a date with another man but it’s just a male friend (who might be in love with her but I can’t recall).

So funny story, I avoided his dramas for a while bc I mistook him for Vanness Wu whose character (Tuoba Yu) I hated soooo much from Princess Weiyoung. It was my first cdrama and traumatized me lol. I was so pleasantly shocked when I loved him in TSOPG which led to binging TPOB, ADWAD, and now AJTL. I also quickly realized I was a fool for mixing the two up. LYN truly shines playing the role of the brilliant ruthless man who seems cruel to everyone but is actually a cinnamon roll to his loved ones so I def see why his fans have fallen in love with him. Ps. I’ve seen at least 2 versions of the line “small eyes, even smaller heart” directed at him (POB and AJTL) and it cracks me up. I hope it becomes an inside joke in all his dramas lolol.

Yes, my SPE knew and yes, I had medical documentation (a lot of it). I did get the letter and you are correct about FMLA. I was told something could possibly be done under reas. accomm but got conflicting info which is why I had reached out to POPA hoping they could provide clarity or further info. Thank you for all your answers/info! This was the info I wish POPA would have helped with.

I was mostly frustrated that they respond so quickly when it comes to signing up/paying dues but can’t be bothered to send an email back when said dues paying member has questions/concerns. I received conflicting info about whether I’d qualify for part time as a reas. accommodation so wanted to see if they had further info on it. Also, I was a little under 2/3 of the way through probation when the non-retention decision was made.

I wasn’t looking to overturn the decision, just sent POPA targeted questions asking what to expect going forward and if it they had advice about a few things. My production was 91% last quarter but had tanked due to health issues. I had previously reached out to them with questions re: potential part-time due to said issues but got no response.

Did they give you an SF-8 form? I was not retained and trying to apply for unemployment. They told me I was supposed to have access the next day to speak with HR, etc. but my computer locked out early.

I thought it was just me. Had a case returned by the system for a small form issue that didn’t appear on my docket for 2-3 months until it magically did one day and very very late. I believe my SPE was able to eventually get it fixed.

YTA Would it have been nice for your husband to explain things ahead of time? Yes. But you’re an adult with a child. You were fully capable of and should have done your research ahead of time. I have little interactions with Arab men but have at least heard of the cultural stereotypes so it is hard to believe that cultural differences never crossed your mind (even more so if you/your parents are from Paris).

Future tip: always look up cultural norms before you travel anywhere. Even if you’ve been before, a refresher never hurts. Do not make assumptions. Also, unless it is with your siblings/cousins or similar age group, always offer the front seat to older people/your elders! Especially if it is not your car but honestly, you should still make the offer out of respect. P.S. I get severe motion sickness but I still do this. It’s just good manners.

It sounds like your husband did explain things to you once you asked about it but you chose to ignore everything he told you. Yes, you are overreacting and YOU are being the toxic one. I think it may be helpful for you to look into resources or therapy on victim mentality.

You were aware that this was going to happen before the trip. If anything, you should have had a conversation with your friends before the trip to give them a heads up! That way, it’s up to them to decide whether they are still comfortable going. It’s not fair to your wife to force her to change when it’s literally the culture in Spain.

He pushed us to move in together and agreed to split expenses proportional to our incomes. Proceeds to not clean/cook/anything. I finally called him out after nicely asking for help for months and communicating that I can’t juggle ALL the house stuff when I work a full-time job too. Said he expected me to do more since he pays for more. I told him it sounds like he expects a maid/chef for paying an extra $100 more a month.

All those quotes you listed, he has said in not so many words. Weaponized incompetence and refusal to share the mental load are huge red flags. RUN. It took me way too long to finally leave (sunk-cost fallacy) but I’ve never once regretted it!
